Elvis's POV:

"RAAAAH!! UGH!!" We fell with our faces in the ground...grass..outside!? "Woah!" I quickly got up and looked around, the sky was beautiful, but the grass was all dry and dead. "Huh? Where are we?" Leah gasped. "I have no idea...but it looks pretty normal," I shrugged. Suddenly, there was a loud rumbling sound off in the distance, Leah's eyes widened, "Do you hear that?" I looked over my shoulder and screamed. There was a huge boulder coming down the hill. "IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!!" I cried. Leah took my hand, "RUUUN!!!" We ran and ran as fast as we could, the massive stone catching up to us.

"LOOK! Is that the portal!!?" I pointed to the portal, glowing and swirling off in the distance. "IT'S SO FAR!!" Leah cried. "WE CAN MAKE IT!!" I panted, trying to run even faster. "I-I CAN'T KEEP UP!! AAAAH!!" Leah tripped and fell. "LEAH!!" I quickly helped her up. "UGH!! MY LEG!! AAAAAH!!" She screamed, holding onto her bloody swollen leg. "Can you walk?" I asked. "I don't think so!! RAAAAH! OWW!!" I swooped her up and carried her the rest of the way. "Thanks Elvis," she panted. "Don't thank me yet!" I grunted.

I kept running and panting, drenched in sweat, it dripped into my eyes, making them burn, "UGH!!" The stone caught up to us, it was so close, I could see its shadow looming over me. "WE'RE GONNA MAKE IT!" I beamed, seeing how close we were to the portal. I leaped in, holding onto Leah, we had just barely escaped the boulder.

We were back inside of Graceland, in a different bedroom that had better lighting from a beautiful lamp. "Heh, you can thank me now," I giggled, laying her down on the bed. Leah smiled, "Thanks, dream guy." I blushed and cleared my throat, "Your leg looks pretty bad, let me go find you some ice and a bandage." "Okay, just be careful," Leah moaned. "I will," I walked out, and looked for the kitchen.

I went into the elevator going down, the elevator was kinda rickety and it made a weird screeching noise. The doors opened, and I stepped out into the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator, and found an ice pack, and a bandaged wrap in the cupboard. "I better hurry before the ice pack warms up," I headed back to the elevator, the doors shut behind me.

I looked up and in the corner was a big bat, with fangs as long as a finger, it looked like it had been mutated, or something. I tried to ignore it and not make eye contact with it. Suddenly, it swooped down and flew around me, "AAAAH!!" I shrieked, flailing my arms and swatting at the bat. What I didn't realize is that I was only making things worse by aggravating it. It went behind me and bit me in the back of my neck, "AAAAAAAH!!" I screamed in pain, I could feel the blood running down my back. The elevator doors opened and I darted out as fast as I could, leaving the bat inside the elevator.

I flung the bedroom door open, "Darling I'm back, how are you doing?" I panted. "I'm okay, thanks for getting the stuff," she smiled. "N-no problem," I sighed, trying to catch my breath. "Have you been running from something? Why are you out of breath?" Leah asked. I sat down on the edge of the bed and wrapped the bandage around her leg, she winced as I put the ice pack on it. "Am I hurting you?" I asked quietly. "No, it feels good," she moaned. She looked up at me, "You didn't answer my question though, what happened? Wait, why is your neck bleeding!?"

"On my way back here, I got bitten by a bat," I replied. Leah gasped and sat up, "Elvis those things carry rabies and other kinds of diseases! You could die!" "I don't know what to do about it," I sighed. "We gotta find a vaccine or something to keep the infection down, maybe there's one in the lab! I saw a lot of different potions and stuff in there," Leah got out of bed. "No, you stay and rest, I'll find it," I said sternly. "It's alright, I can make it," Leah said, "See?" She walked around the room with a limp, "I'm not very fast right now, but I can make it." "Alright, but let me come with you," I said.

We headed out, "Which way is the lab again?" Leah asked. "Uhm..I think it's the very bottom floor," I bit my lip. We walked to the elevator, I could feel my wound getting worse, a sticky white fluid started to ooze out. The elevator doors opened, the bat flew out and attacked me again, "AAAAAAH!! STOP!! NO!!" It bit me on the arm, its fangs sunk in real deep and it wouldn't let go. "MAKE IT STOP!! MAKE IT STOP!! AAAAAH!!" I screamed, flailing my arms around, trying to shake it off, but it wouldn't budge. Leah took out her knife and stabbed the bat in the head, she took the dead bat and threw it at the wall, its blood splattered when it hit the wall.

I looked at my bleeding arm, panting and hyperventilating, I saw how deep the wound was, the skin around started to turn purple, that was not a good sign. "We gotta hurry," Leah said, taking me into the elevator with her. She pushed the button and the elevator went down. I hissed in and gnashed my teeth in pain, "I'm not feeling so good." "Just hold on...we'll be there in a minute," Leah said.

This bite was even worse than I thought, the infection was spreading rapidly, I could hardly stand it. Bitter tears of agony building up in my eyes, I tried to fight the urge to cry. My knees were shaky and my face went pale, I felt sick to my stomach. Leah looked at me, "Oh Elvis you look terrible," she gasped, realizing how serious this could be, it may even result in death.

I collapsed, with my face on the floor. Leah shrieked in horror, "Elvis!!" She stooped down and felt my head, "Oh my gosh! You're burning up, man!" I gasped for air, sweating and crying, "D-darling...I'm dying!" "No...don't say that! You're not gonna die! You're gonna live!" She looked around and groaned, "Ugh! What is taking so long!? Come on, I've got an infected man here!" She kicked the door.

My heart was racing, a million things were going through my head, my saliva was overflowing, what kind of disease was this? I could hardly breathe, my whole body was throbbing, I've never been in such agony! My lungs hurt, like they were swollen, "Leah!" I cried, "We're not gonna make it in time! I'm dying...there's nothing we can do!"
