Standing in Santa's office I paced back and forth. "You better explain this to us right now Bernard" I urged him as he looked nervous putting the card in front of the magnifying glasses. Watching as he fiddled with the lenses I just pulled up the biggest one and stood beside Scott. We all stood behind the lenses as Scott began reading "The card holder acknowledges a woman of his choosing... True love.. not valid in the state of Utah.. Holy.. matrimony!?" Scott shouted.

"I have to get married?!" He exclaimed. "Yes, its the Mrs. Clause" Bernard informed. "Then why am I being turned into a human?" I asked shivering at the cold I never noticed before. "Well we call it the desantafication process, like the Santafication process but backward." Bernard said. "You are transitioning with Scott because since you were his house elf it makes you his right hand. So you two are connected" Curtis told me.

"So what. If Scott falls off the roof I die too?" I asked crossing my arms as they both looked at each other before nodding. "Essentially" Curtis deadpanned. "So wait. You both are telling me that if I don't get married, Snickerdoodle can't be and elf and I can't be Santa?" He asked before putting his jacket over me as I kept shivering.

"It's not completely hopeless, I really think you can go this Scott" I encouraged him with a smile. "How much time do I have?" Scott looked to the head elf and his trainee. "You roughly have till Christmas Eve." Curtis stated.

"It's over.. Snickerdoodle I'm sorry" He said sitting down. "No. You can't think like that, please don't give up hope. Cos if you do, then we have to" Bernard frowned. "Give up hope?" Scott asked. "If someone especially you gives up hope then elves disappear, vanish, almost like they were never there before" Curtis said. Thinking for a moment I gasped. "Charlie! If you can have Charlie help you find a nice girl then things wouldn't be so hard!" I smiled.

"Charlie is like 15 he's only interested in hot models and Cindy Lou Who" Scott rolled his eyes. "Don't speak ill of Ms. Lou Who, she's a very respected woman" Bernard warned as Scott nodded nervously.

Watching as Scott's beard shrank we all took a few steps back. "Christmas is getting very complicated" Scott said before we walked out. "Bernard honey, I have something I'd like to show you" I told him as he grinned. "And what's that" He asked "Well you can't see yet" I said grabbing a piece of fabric from my bag, tying it around his eyes. "Oh, it must be a big secret then" Bernard smiled as I nodded. "The biggest. Okay so just follow my lead and I'll try not to let you hit anything" I said as we walked towards our new house. Bringing Bernard up to the room Judy was finishing the decorating, she smiled and quickly got out of the main room and stood in the hall. Stopping Bernard I took off the blindfold as he looked around.

"This.. this is amazing" Bernard said in awe. "Did you do this?" He asked as I pointed back to Judy. "With a little help" I smiled. He pulled me into a kiss with excitement. "This is all I've ever dreamed about. Being in our own home with each other" Bernard swooned

"Bernard. Seriously I need to know, why didn't you tell me before? About the Mrs. Clause?" I asked him, he looked at me nervously as he sighed tracing circles onto the backs of my hands. "I didn't know how to tell you, I was scared and worried about you and didn't want.. us to end if I told you" He explained to me.

"Bernard, honey. I wouldn't have wanted anything other than you telling me. Hearing it from my own brother was hard enough" I said pulling him into a hug, he remained quiet as he just hugged back. I rubbed his back till I heard a knock on the door. Pushing it open there stood Curtis and Judy. "What are you both doing here?" I asked. "Curtis was looking for you and I helped" Judy smiled. "What did you need Curtis." Bernard practically groaned hearing my brothers voice.

"I wanted to show you the new upgrades to the machine" He said as I glanced at Bernard. "Come on you big baby" I teased taking his hand as we followed Curtis, Bernard quickly shutting the door before we walked too far.
