It had been days since Ginger went back to the nursing home, and Joey was still hurt that she left in the first place. Ginger was sort of like her mother, teaching her to cook and telling her stories upon stories of her life. Even if she couldn't remember most of them.

"Aw come on Jo, don't tell me you're still hurt about Ginger?" Fiona asked once Joey came down the stairs looking depressed. The blonde didn't reply, just walked over to the fridge to pour herself a cup of orange juice. Her and Debbie seemed to be the only ones genuinely upset about Ginger leaving, which she found a little concerning. Ginger was sweet to all the Gallagher siblings plus Jakob and the way no one really seemed to acknowledge the fact that Ginger was the closest thing to a mother the siblings were going to get pissed Joey off more then anything. She needed to blow off steam, and the only way to do that was set up a protest.

"Anyone wanna make some cookies with me?" Debbie questioned, walking inside the kitchen. Everyone ignored her and went back to what they were previously doing before. Lip and Ian were checking out the water heater which was busted as Joey was putting together her posters and supplies in case the cops showed up looking for a fight.

"Anyone know where I can find the killing bat?" Joey questioned, looking around the house.

"What do you need it for?"

"Protest. Last time I wasn't prepared and this cop got me across the face. Remember when I couldn't see out my left eye for two weeks?"

Lip nodded. "Yeah uh, you kept bumping into the walls. It was sorta funny."

Joey threw up the finger before turning her attention towards Debbie who kept on pestering the family about baking. She frowned, remembering how Ginger would always bake with Debbie.

"Go take a shower," Fiona ordered. "You're not taking the killing bat Jo. Don't need the cops asking questions as to why there's a thirteen year old walking around with a bloodstained baseball bat."

Joey scoffed loudly before throwing her hands up in the air. Fiona was totally being unfair. Unlike the rest of her siblings Joey was responsible with the killing bat and knew how to use it. Plus the cops on the Southside were too busy worrying about metheads to pay attention to some young blonde kid walking around with a baseball bat.

"Joey, bake a pie with me." Debbie begged, tugging at Joeys hoodie. The blonde was about to decline, saying she had bigger issues to deal with before Fiona spoke up.

"No pie. I'm not saying it again. Carl, no," Fiona clearly had a lot on her plate so Joey stepped in, grabbing Carls arm and pulling him away from the microwave. "I went to school with Kenny Dombrowski. Think he had a crush on me."

"Shh! Wakes this morning! Let's go! Joey, you coming?" Lip asked turning towards his younger sister. Joey scrunched up her nose and shook her head, not wanting to waste her time going to some funeral.

"Can I come?" Debbie questioned. Lip immediately shot her down before walking out the house with Ian. Fiona finally convinced Debbie to take a shower while Joey grabbed her coat and backpack, walking out the door without another word. She knew she was being petty, not wanting to really talk to Fiona after sending Ginger way. But Joey missed the woman, and she coped with events in her own ways. Her way was just shutting people out until the pain eventually faded away into nothingness. That or just smoke a shit ton of weed that Joey would steal from Lip or Ian.

Joey was now at Jakobs house, knocking on his door. Jakob lived a few streets down from her, but the walk was always torturous due to the fact a bunch of drunk assholes loved to mess with Joey as she walked. It was the main reason Jakob hated when she came over to his place.
