Joeys eyes darted around what seemed to be a large mansion, her brows creasing in confusion as she slowly stood up from her spot on a lavish couch. She knew for a fact that she was a long way from home, that much was obvious by the extravagance that seemed to have surrounded her. Joey continued to walk throughout the house, hoping to find some sort of clue as to where she was. She felt around her pockets for her phone, growing irritated by the fact that she didn't have anything on her.

"Joey!" A familiar voice called, Joey spinning around to see that it was none other than Jakob, no longer in worn down clothes from his older brother, instead in much more fancier clothes that didn't suit him at all. Joey glanced down at her own outfit, a loud gasp escaping her lips once she had noticed that she was in fancy clothes just as Jakob was. The Whitmore boy stalked forward, Joey taking notice of to the shiny ring on his finger. What the actual fuck was going on?

"It took you long enough to get changed," Jakob teased, lightly nudging Joeys shoulder who only stared at him with a bewildered look, truly not understanding what was going on. "I was waiting for what, like an hour?"

"Are you high?" Joey blurted, not even acknowledging how insane she sounded by asking that question. Jakob stared at her for a moment before his lips broke out into a wide grin. "No seriously, are you high? I mean, what the fuck is this?"

"I'm not high, Joey," Jakob shook his head, still grinning like a madman. "This is our home, our life. We're married, remember?"

"M-married?" Joey spluttered out the word, her tongue feeling like acid as it escaped from her lips. Marriage and Jakob did not belong in the same sentence whatsoever, Joey cringing in disgust at the sentence. Jakob seemed to have been unfazed by her reaction however, reaching his ring covered hand up to gently caress her cheek. The Gallagher stared at him for a moment, wondering whether or not she should be pinching herself in order to wake herself up. But when she instead leaned into his touch with now flushed cheeks, she couldn't help but feel just a fraction of shame. This wasn't supposed to be happening. Jakob leaned forward, his lips mere inches away from Joeys right before—-

Joey shot up from her position in bed, her breaths coming out in labored gasps as her blonde and matted hair stuck to her sweat coated skin. She pressed a hand to her chest, feeling her heart beginning to pound relentlessly as she tried to get it to slow before she ended up having a heart attack.

What in the actual fuck was that?

That was the only question Joey could seem to think of as she threw her legs off the side of her bed, beginning to pace back and forth in her room. Luckily Debbie was an early riser which meant she was most likely downstairs doing god knows what, Liam most likely accompanying her. That gave her plenty of time to panic in private. Throughout Joeys life, she's dreamed of many things. A stable job, wealth, making it out of the Southside. In none of those dreams however did Jakob make an appearance, especially with the two being married to one another. Joey felt bile rise up in the back of the throat of the mere thought of Jakob ever putting a ring on her finger for any reason.

So then why did she lean into his touch when he caressed her cheek? Joey fell back on her bed with a loud groan, beginning to tug at her hair with excessive force. She hated the feelings that were beginning to stir up within her, for they had never been a problem in the past. She had always seen Jakob as her best friend, her first friend at that. And now she was starting to see him in a different light that she wasn't sure she was ready for as of yet.

Joey sat up from her bed once more before beginning to make her way downstairs, her eyes landing on the majority of her siblings that already sat at the breakfast table eating their food. Joey sat down beside Ian and across from Lip, the two boys still refusing to speak to each other due to their petty drama. Joey rolled her eyes, digging into her cereal and choosing not to think too much into it. It would only get her more frustrated if anything.
