"Ok," Joey sniffled, wiping her eyes and nodding her head. "I'm ready."

"Ready for what?" Jakob questioned, handing his best friend another tissue.

"To go back home. I can't stay here forever."

"Fuck no Joey. I'm not letting you go back. Especially not when Monica's around," Jakob scoffed, shaking his head. "You can stay here. It'll be fun, and my brothers won't bother us. I promise."

"Jakob, I appreciate what you're doing. Really, I do. But Debbie and Carl don't know how to deal with Monica being back, and I need to be there for them. I need to go back." It was true. Eventually Joey was going to have to face Monica again, so why not let it be tonight? As much as she didn't want to go, she had to put her younger siblings first.

"Fine. Then I'm coming with you." Jakob stood up, pulling on his jacket and grabbing his bag to stuff a change of clothes in. Joey watched him do this, not even bothering to stop him. She knew that even if she begged and pleaded Jakob wasn't going to back down. So she followed him down the stairs, being met with Luca on the couch smoking a cigarette.

Jakob immediately froze, Joey doing the same and placing her hand on his shoulder out of both support and fear for what may happen.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Luca ordered, not looking away from the tv which was playing some old mafia show.

"Out," Jakob replied. "I won't be back until tomorrow."

"Why?"

"He's staying the night at my house," Joey jumped in. "Monica's back."

Lucas head snapped over to meet Joeys gaze. "Shit, really? Since when?"

"Since tonight. So Jakobs coming to stay with me. If that ain't a problem, your highness." She explained. Jakob quickly nodded, letting Luca know that it was all true.

"Real fucking funny Gallagher. Real fucking funny," Luca spat before averting his gaze to Jakob. "If you leave, you better come back with a six pack. If you don't, I'm gonna kick your ass up and down the Southside, man."

"I'm thirteen," Jakob argued. "No one's gonna think I'm fucking twenty one and over."

"Figure it the fuck out. Now leave."

Jakob rolled his eyes, grabbing Joeys hand and practically dragging her out of the house. She wanted to go back in and punch the living hell out of Luca. What crawled up your ass and died? Joey wanted to ask the older Whitmore. But that would get both her's and Jakobs ass kicked.

Once Joey reached her home, she figured sneaking in through the window would be the best idea. The last thing she wanted was to run into Monica or her annoying ass girlfriend Roberta or whatever the fuck she wanted to be called by.

When Jakob climbed through the window, he knocked down Debbie's bookshelf causing Joey to curse under her breath and throw a shoe at him.

"What the fuck? Are you trying to wake up the whole house?" She hissed loudly, nodding her head towards Debbie who was fast asleep.

"Well it's not my fucking fault! Clean your room every once in a while, Jeez!"

"Clean your life!"

"What?"

"I don't fucking know! Change your clothes and shut the fuck up!"

Jakob furrowed his brows at Joey before complying, removing his shirt revealing his toned abs. Joey stared at his torso for a while, before quickly looking away so things didn't get weird. Once the two were changed into their clothes Joey climbed into her bed, pulling the sheets over her body and slowly drifting off to sleep. Jakob hesitated before wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her body close so that he could bury his head in the crook of her neck. Joey didn't react to his sudden contact, instead she only softly smiled and closed her eyes before drifting off to sleep.
