WONDER WOMAN: 1943

CHAPTER SIX: ALL-STAR TEAM UP

Somewhere off the coast of Germany, a ship was coming in as people with red arm bands wrapped around their arms with a "Swastika" on it stand in wait. As the boat docks, three men walk up to the opening hatch comes down and a group of what is revealed to be Nazi soldiers arrive carrying a crate. The four men carry the crate up to their leader before dropping it as his feet and sticking their left arms out. The man walks up to the mysterious package before unravelling the thick layer of cloth draped over it revealing it to have Israliac type markings christened about its thick structure.
"Endlich! Nach drei Jahren Suche bin ich endlich fündig geworden." Before the man who is revealed to have a stark bland mustache below his nose he finds that he can't touch the artifact as it's lifted from where it stands into an American vessel out of sight. Suddenly, a once invisible man clad in gold and blue appears revealing a very ancient uniform and helmet. "On orders of the United States government and thy Allied Powers, Adolf Hitler you are under arrest for the deaths of millions and treason against the countries of the world. You are under arrest."
"Du und welche Armee?" yells Hitler as he pulls out a small gun and attempts to shoot at the man but misses. "THIS ONE!" Suddenly a man with hawkish wings comes dive bombing in and smashes into Hitler knocking him into the river. Suddenly, a group of people come up from the ocean and attack the Nazi's. One has a mysterious glowing staff, one is a femme fatale with a Bo-staff, a skilled fighter one, one with a mysterious green aura around him able to create constructs to his heart's desires, a man with a small gun that can instantly put a person to sleep with their deepest desires, one with super strength but instantly it suddenly stops working in a comedic fashion, one who can grow to enormous lengths and one who when speaking to a pin can use a purple figure to defeat people.
The group defeat the Nazi's but Adolf Hitler escapes in critical conditions. The man with the staff quickly revealed to be under the codename "Starman" and leader of the group goes up to his feathered teammate revealed to be under the codename of "Hawkman" and reprimands him for his brass actions. "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING! We were this close to ending this war and you just had to go in guns blazing!" yelled Starman. "He's murdered millions of people! He deserved to fucking die by my hands you should've let me end his life."
The two continued to argue as the man in gold and blue drops down to the ground and tells the two to stop as the person takes his helmet off which evaporates the costume out of thin air. "Calm down my friends. We have the artifact that's all that matters." Starman and Hawkman stop and the group get the artifact which is revealed to be the Ark of the Covenant and board it onto a plane before flying off. In a special quarters just for the man in gold and blue he uses the helmet revealed to be named "The Helmet of Fate" to communicate to Nabu and see the future.
"Nabu! Show me what's to come" The man revealed to be named Kent Nelson is placed into a trance by the spirit that is part of the helmet which shows him America on fire and a barrage of bullets and bombs blowing up a island. Startled by this revelation, he tells Hawkman they need to go to America as they fly off in secret out of Germany.
We then flashback to Blackhawk headquarters in New York as it's revealed to be the summer of 1944. Diana, going under the codename of Wonder Woman, has been working as a agent of the Allied Forces with her pilot Steve Trevor and best friends Etta Candy and Paula Von Gunther. Wonder Woman and Steve are shown fighting off a group of Nazi protestors trying to blow up the Statue of Liberty when suddenly a group of people come down and stop the Nazis.

After the battle, the group are recognized by the press of people as "The Justice Society of America" as they overshadow Wonder Woman. "Who are these... heroes?" asked Diana. "Well they're America's premiere hero team and we're drafted into the war by president Franklin D. Rosevelt himself". Diana introduces herself to the Justice Society of America consisting of Ted Knight aka Starman, Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate, Carter Hall aka Hawkman, Alan Scott aka Green Lantern, Westley Dobbs aka Sandman, Rex Tyler aka Hourman, Al Pratt aka The Atom, Ted Grant aka Wildcat, Dinah Drake aka The Canary and John L. Thunder aka Johnny Thunder and his magical genie "Thunderbolt."
Through a montage we are shown brief showings of each of their origins in a comic book style scene. Ted Knight was from a very rich family who owned a mysterious staff called the "Cosmic Staff." While working as an astronomer, Ted discovered the mysterious powers of the staff which allowed him to fly and manipulate energy. He would be convinced by his wife to become the hero and become "Starman." Kent Nelson was the son of famous archaeologist Sven Nelson who followed his father into the Valley of Ur where Nelson would discover the mysterious Helmet of Fate at the age of 12. His father would sadly die during a cave collapse but Kent teamed up with Nabu to become the hero Doctor Fate and was able to save himself. After saving his life, Nabu agreed to a partnership with Kent when he was older at the age of 25 and the two would become Doctor Fate. Carter hall was one the Prince Kfufu of ancient Egypt with his wife princess Chay-Era until they were killed and cursed with resurrection. Alan Scott is the son of a wealthy entrepreneur who is also a closeted gay man. One day, Scott was on a train with his boyfriend Sam Zhao and was planning on proposing to Sam but before he can the two are injured in a train crash while on a trip in China. The crash would end up killing Sam.

A mysterious green flame would end up protecting Alan and convincing him to create a ring out of a lantern that the green flame was encased into and would lead to Alan saving the rest of the people who were on the train. Alan would decide to become the hero Green Lantern in memory of Sam who funny enough has a strange weakness to wood. Wesley Dobbs was the son of a wealthy investor Edward Dodds. But one day, the Dobbs family was taken by Nazi's and put into a concentration camp where they would spend the rest of their days as Wesley's family were all killed. Wesley would also be plagued nightmares for days on end which would give him the idea for his gun and allow him to liberate his camp and become the superhero "Sandman." Rex Tyler was a award winning scientist who started working with the US government. At the beginning of WW2, he would create a strength enhancing serum that only lasted for a hour. He would end up using it and becoming the hero called Hourman.
Al Pratt and Ted Grant were once a famous tag team duo before the war being trained under ex-famous boxer Joe Morgan. One day, Joe would be murdered and Al and Ted would be framed for the murder. The two would become the heroes "The Atom" and "Wildcat" with the Atom having super strength and Wildcat not having any powers. Dinah Drake was a police officer with the NYPD until she found the NYPD had been taking bribes and working with the mob bosses of New York. She would then learn how to fight and take down the corrupt officers of the police department and become the hero "The Canary" and she would get trained by Wildcat. Johnny Thunder is actually the seventh child of a father who's also a seventh child and was born on a Sunday. One day, he was kidnapped by terrorists and would be raised in the country of Badhensia until he could escape back to America. He would then become a superhero with the help of his pen which had a genie named Thunderbolt within it.
The JSA, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor return to Blackhawks HQ where it's revealed that the JSA have a secret 10th member: Ma Hunkel, their chef who helps them out sometimes. Etta brings the JSA, Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman into the War Room for a meeting. "Okay now that everybody is here let me debrief you all. Thanks to the JSA we have our hands on the Ark of the Covenant but that doesn't mean it is safe. The Ark is set to be shown off at this year's World Fair to take people's minds off the war. I want Diana and the JSA to meet up with other Blackhawks agents at the fair to protect the Ark just in case somebody tries to steal. Any questions? Okay. Dismissed!"
The Justice Society, Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor and Etta Candy arrive at the World Fair in Central Park where Wonder Woman and Steve meet Britain's superhero team the "Seven Soldiers of Victory" which consists of Sylvestor David Pimberton aka the Star-Spangled Kid, Pat Dugan aka Stripesy, Sir Justin Arthur aka Shining Knight, Greg Saunders aka Vigilante, Daniel Leong aka Stuff the China Town Kid, Lee Travis aka Crimson Avenger and Wing How aka Wing. The Seven Soldiers and Justice Society almost get into a fight but Wonder Woman stops the two groups from fighting each other for the time being.
Steve and Etta are revealed to also be in a relationship again in secret but Paula seems to be onto them. Starman attempts to reconnect with Star-Spangled Kid who is revealed to be the estranged son of Ted but Sylvestor hates Starman for abandoning him and his mom. The JSA, Wonder Woman and Seven Soldiers discover that robots have attacked the World Fair, flooding the place at one point and causing fake volcanos to rain lava onto the citizens. The two robots are revealed to be named "Red Torpedo" and "Red Inferno" who are led by a third and final robot called "Red Tornado". Wonder Woman, the JSA and Seven Soldiers are kidnapped by the ringleader of all this who's revealed to be TO Morrow, famous scientist and head designer of the World Fair who had planned to replace both teams with robots to take over the world and had never planned on getting his hands on the Ark of the Covenant.
Morrow combines both Torpedo and Inferno into a bigger robot called Red Volcano but Volcano turns on Morrow, murdering him and wreaking havoc on New York. Red Volcano destroys the Ark believing it to give him powers but it proves to be futile and just destroys the old relic.
The JSA, with Wonder Woman, and Seven Soldiers decide to team up and stop Red Volcano with Red Tornado breaking free of its programming and joining the Justice Society. During the battle, Starman sacrifices himself and destroys Red Volcano. Star Spangled Kid runs up to his father and forgives his father for everything that has happened. "I forgive you my son." says Ted who's on the brink of death. "But somebody needs to take control of the Cosmic Staff." In his dying moments, Ted passes down the Cosmic Staff to his estranged son as he dies. Wonder Woman is made a member of the Justice Society and is given a specialised jet for thanks by the World Fair. The Justice Society and Seven Soldiers decide to team up together to protect and stop the war, naming their brand new team the "All Star Squadron". Before Diana, Steve, Etta leave, Doctor Fate pulls Diana aside to tell her something. "I have seen your future. In the near future, you will be forced to give up somebody you love to save our world. Choose wisely." Wonder Woman, Steve and Etta leave as the All Star Squadron officially make the World Fair their new base of operations.
