My oc will be introduced in this chapter, and is recurring. I hope that does not bother you

"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me a broccoli?"

"I know, but I can't help it! That green hair of yours is so cute and always reminds me of broccoli!"

"It's just my hair!"

With a giggle, he sits down next to me and starts playing with my hair. I've mentioned this person before. This is Ray, the one person I've sang in front of. Actually, I've sang in front of him countless times. We either sing for each other or together. But, the last time I ever saw him was before I moved into the dorms.

We first met when we were kids. I found him underneath a tree by the playground, and went over to talk with him. I found out he didn't have a home to return to that day, reason still unknown. I talked to my mom about it, and she agreed that Ray could stay with us for as long as he needed. We were inseparable, and did everything together, except he never went to school. He was already incredibly smart, and his quirk helped with his homeschool education.

I introduced him to Kacchan, and at first they were enemies. Ray hated Kacchan for the way he treated me, and Kacchan hated Ray for being on my side, and not his. But eventually, they grew to tolerate each other. I have no idea if they're friends, but as long as they're both tolerable to each other, I'm fine with that.

"Hey, did you and Kacchan ever become friends?"

"Uhh, more like acquaintances. Katsuki and I had a lot of disagreements, so our relationship never expanded beyond 'I'll tolerate you'"

"And yet you call him Katsuki?"

"I think it's better than calling him something that literally means loud. You didn't have to plainly insult him like that"

"It's not insulting! It's just a nickname!"

"That fits so well"

I push him in a friendly manner as he just laughs away. I missed this. It had been so long since we hung out like this. I don't want it to end. I don't want him to leave. But, he'll have to, he needs to. Since I'm here, Ray's the only one that can take care of mom. I can only hope that the next time we meet will be soon.

"How's mom?"

"She's doing good, misses her son though"

"She has you! Unless you're pushing her away"

"I would never push mom away! She's the best mom I could ever ask for. She just loves us so much, that if one's gone, she becomes Mrs. Bennet from Pride and Prejudice when Lydia runs away"

"How specific"

"Well, you got to be!"

We spent that night laughing away, catching up on whatever we missed. By 3 AM, we were asleep like how we were when we were kids, cuddling. But, when I woke up in the morning, Ray was gone, nothing left, but another feather. I took both feathers, kept one as remembrance, and let the other one get taken by the wind. With a sad smile, I turn back to get ready for another day.
