He pats the open space next to his left. I close my eyes, a smile returning to my face. I fill that previously opened space and let my legs dangle with Ray's. For a bit, we just studied the stars, taking in the out favorite part of nature.

"Only a sweatshirt with yoga pants?"

Ray interrupted the silence, causing me to jump and glare at him for such a stupid question. He looked over at me and looked at me like I had five heads.

"What? I thought we both agreed to dress in our favorite skirts whenever we came up here"

"I walked here alone, I will not be wearing a skirt with a bunch of pervs in the alleyways waiting to jump at me"

"Fair point"

The silenced returned for a few minutes before I switched my gaze to what was beneath us. Curiosity had crawled within me and I just needed to know the answer. It's been so long since I've seen Ray in action. There's only one way to find out.

"Jump"

"I'm sorry?"

"Jump"

"Are you seri- ohhhh, I get it now"

Ray stood up and stepped off the edge. I watched as he started to reach the ground. At the last second, Ray extended his wings, caught himself, and flew back up, doing a loop de loop before landing back on the roof.

"I know, I'm amazing"

"I can't believe you're still really good at that"

"Heh"

Instead of sitting back down on the ledge, he sat down on the couch in the White Section. I followed suit and watched as Ray put a little, black backpack in his lap. He unzipped it and placed a pack of cards, two bottles of ramune, and some sweet and savory snacks on the coffee table. He placed the bag back under the table and sat at his end. Knowing what was happening, I sat across from him, grabbed a bottle and both sweet and savory snacks. Ray had done the same and opened up the pack of cards, dealing them.

"What are we playing?"

"We could do war, spit, trash, castle..."

"Castle"

"Alright"

We set up the cards in order to play castle and spent half the night playing.

Even though Ray teleported me back to my dorm room, I was still very exhausted and immediately fell face first into my pillow. I still needed to take a shower, but my body was so tired I didn't wanna move. Grumbling to myself, I got up and headed to the bathroom. I showered as quick as possible, not even waiting for the water to get warm. As soon as I was in my pajamas, I flopped back down onto my bed, on my back this time. I stared at the ceiling til my vision turned black.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The blackness abruptly fades into a scene before me. I'm in my room, sitting on my bed, Ray next to me, speaking. His mouth moves, excitement in his expression, but no words come out. It's like I've suddenly gone deaf. He's leaning back, only one arm to keep him from falling, a hand out while he's speaking, kinda like a hand gesture. The only thing weird, is that I stare at him for a bit, and Ray never changes his position. It doesn't even look like he's breathing. Just the mouth.
I raise my hand and wave it in front of his face. No reaction. No looking at it weirdly, no lips closed, no smacking it away. No nothing. I retract my hand back and look down at it, study it for a few seconds, my mind filled with thoughts, but the thoughts have no words. I can't even hear my own thoughts. I put my face right in front of Ray's and the same thing happens. No reaction, nothing, nada. I return to my previous position and wonder for a moment, eyes looking at something different every millisecond. Then again, I can't even hear what I'm wondering.
I exit my room and head to the common room. Surely everyone's there. Maybe they could explain this to me. I know I don't like them, but just this once. I reach my desired destination and see everyone's mouths move, conversations happening. Yet there's no noise. The same thing is happening for everyone else. I walk around and see everyone facing one or two other people, engaging in something with no noise. I keep track of who I see in case there's an oddball among the group. That's when I realize Kacchan's not with the others. I look up to see him standing in the corner, all alone. My feet move on their own towards him, like the day during the slime villain attack. When I reach him, his mouth moves, forming words, and there is sound coming out.
"I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku. I'm sorry, Izuku"
He repeats those words over and over and over again, muttering them to himself. His gaze is fixated on the floor. I try everything to get his attention, but the floor is more interesting. The more I hear the same three words, the more something clicks in my head. He's muttering apologies that are meant for me, that are hard to get out and taste bittersweet. That are about middle school. That are about middle school. That are about middle school. That are about middle school. He regrets everything.
I wake up in a cold sweat, panting. My mind was racing with my eyes, but I could only hear one thing like in the dream. "Was that trying to tell me something?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I couldn't pay attention at all during class. I could only focus on the blonde in front of me, the dream replaying in my mind. I constantly kept switching back on if I should tell him about it or not, if I should confront him about it or not. It's been gnawing away at me ever since I woke up. The feeling aches more than breaking my bones past their limit. I was very lucky the entire lesson, Aizawa-sensei never called on me, so I didn't have to scramble for the answer when I didn't even know he was teaching.

I'm staring so intensely into the back of Kacchan's head that I wonder if he can feel my eyes burning into him. I stare and stare and stare and stare and stare and stare, to the point where I didn't even hear the bell and only broke out of my trance when he stood up. I scramble to get everything in my bag and see Uraraka approach me, but I ignore her and run out the door to try and catch up to Kacchan. I run and walk, switching between the two so much I feel like I'm going to get whiplash. He's tall, his hair is spiky, so I look over the crowd of people in the hall and see the top of his head. I try desperately to catch up.

I almost fall onto my face when I exit the building. I can still see him walking and I spare no second. I ran as fast as I could to catch up with him. I skid to a stop and just stand there, right behind him. I lift my hand to tap his back or shoulder, but hesitate. And that's when I realize he's stopped in his tracks, as if he knows I'm there. And he does.

"Why did you try so desperately to catch up to me?"
