Recently I had been seeing y/n a lot less. See about a month ago I took her to a party,  and now she can't get enough.

We used to have a movie night every Saturday, but now she spends them hanging out at different parties. Whether it's kids from Nevermore or normies she's constantly partying.

"You're welcome to join Xavier," she said to me as she was getting ready.

"Not really my thing," I said, laying on her bed.

I observed her applying the makeup to her face. She was pretty with makeup. But I like how she looked completely natural. The darkness under her eyes without anything to conceal them gave her depth. And the lipstick was pretty, sure. But the natural pinkness of her lips was the subject of my daydreams.

I couldn't name just one thing I liked most about her. But if I had to choose it would be her resilient and bold personality. She was one of the most daring people I had ever met. Which could be scary at times.

"You mean not anymore"

"Yeah. Because it got out of hand. I don't want you going down the same one I did."

"I'm noooot. Just let me have fun Xav."

I sighed at the nickname she gave me. Even though I claimed to hate it, I secretly adored it when she called me that. But I would never tell HER that.

"Fine. Just be safe alright?"

"Yeah yeah. I'll text you if anything happens alright? That make you feel better?" She laughed.

"Yeah actually. Thanks."

"Alright. Now I gotta go. Come here."

I walked over to do our usual bear-hug goodbye. I had a bad feeling. But chose to ignore it. She's an independent girl. I can't hover. I just gotta trust her.

"Bye Xav. I'll be back before 12. Maybe we can still have our movie night..?"

I smiled and playfully punched her shoulder.

"Sounds good. Now go so you can get back earlier."

She laughed at me and shut the door behind her.

Ugh.

//// Y/n Pov ////

I walked into the abandoned house for the normie party I heard about.

The dreary house had been lit up with tons of led and strobe lights. My nose filled with the scent of alcohol and teenage hormones.

By now I had gotten used to the smell, but it still burned my nose every time I walked into this kind of scene.

I looked around for my usual normie partygoers. Found em.

"Hey, Y/n!" They greeted me.

I don't care enough about them to learn or remember their names, so I just greeted them with my usual, "Hey guys!".

They handed me the bottle of tequila I usually drank out of. I smiled after feeling myself relax a little bit.

"Y/n we brought something new for you to try... if you're down"

"I'm down for anything."

The school was only a couple of miles away. I could Uber if I needed. Not a big deal. Plus I had Xavier if anything went completely wrong. Even though I hated to text him when I was like this. I was usually a mess.
