Wednesday's POV
Principal Weems drove us to Dr. Kinbott's office. The car took a sharp turn and I was slightly pushed into the door. Katrina, on the other hand, slid in the seat, towards me. I cleared my throat. "Sorry." She said, and scooted away. I looked out of the car, watching the pathetic town of Jericho barely thrive.
"Okay, ladies. We have arrived." Weems said. "Isn't that exciting?" I said sarcastically, feeling nothing at all. "I swear to God I'm gonna lose my fucking mind." Katrina mumbled, under her breath.
She seemed to be thinking no one heard her. Only I heard. "Just because you swear, it doesn't make you cool." I whispered. "Just because your goth, it doesn't make you cool, either." She snapped back, quietly.
The car doors unlocked before I could say anything back. Weems stayed in the car as Katrina and I exited the car. "I'm only doing this because Dr. Kinbott is just as bad as a itch that you can't scratch."
I stated. "And can only be satisfied by being wounded." Katrina responded. I looked at her as we walked into the building. She looked unbothered.
We walked in, discussing the plan. "Okay, I'll tell her the alibi as you sneak around and get around the building. Put some stuff in the way to block the pedestrians view of us. Oh, and Draco can help me get the window open, so, I think we're squared away." Katrina said.
I stayed silent. "You heard me?" She asked, slightly angry. "Yes, now stop talking endlessly before I make you." I retorted. She looked at me with an emotion I couldn't read.
I didn't even know what I meant by that. It just slipped out. What would I do? I felt my brain starting to itch. Her emotion changed as her face formed into a tiny grin. "Mhm, yeah, I'm gonna need to fill you in on something when we get back to the dorm." She said and began walking up the stairs to Kinbott's office. What did she want to tell me?
I pushed all thoughts aside as I sprinted around the buliding, stopping below the window of Dr. Kinbott's office. I moved a few trash cans and crates of materials to block the view of oncoming pedestrians and Principal Weems.
Katrina's POV
I walked into Kinbott's office. "Hello, ma'am." I greeted her with the best fake smile I could give. She looked around. "Where's Wednesday?" She said. Time to lie. Yay! She had to go to the washroom in the Lobby. I need to use the one up here. I'll be right out, then we can talk, and then you can speak with Wednesday afterwards.
She dismissed me as I headed to the washroom door. I let Draco slither out of my grasp as he used his fangs to get into the window lock. As I turned to check the door, my elbow knocked the soap off of the counter.
"Are you okay, Kat?" Kinbott yelled from outside the washroom. "Don't call me Kat, and yes, I'm fine. Just...give me a minute." I said.
I tapped to Draco, 'Hurry up!' He immediately tapped back. 'Give my fangs a break, bitch.' I didn't tap back and just let him do his thing. My head snapped backwards as I began to float. It snapped forward again and jolted upwards, my vision was filled with blurry flashbacks. I saw someone push my sister off of the balcony.
The gasps filled my ears as I was trying my hardest to focus on who pushed her. "She was just here!" A voice said. The sirens were becoming louder, more distorted. I tried by best to focus on whoever pushed her and whoever cleared her body before the authorities found it first. The vision started becoming distant as I regained consciousness.
Soon, I heard a click and knew that the window was unlocked. Draco recoiled in my hand as I kissed his head and climbed out of the window. I used my levitation powers to float to the ground. I landed on the ground softly, next to Wednesday.
She looked at my, furrowing her eyebrows the tiniest bit. "Yes, I have powers, I'll explain later." I said, quickly, grabbing her arm and walking down the sidewalk. "I didn't say anything." She said. "You didn't have to." I said, turning a corner.
"You know, sometimes I wonder if you know how the world works." I mumbled, looking at her briefly before turning to the road our school was down.
We escaped the town, now we just need to walk for 25 minutes. "I know how it works, I just don't understand why it works." She said, flatly. "Oh, well. Keep up." I said, changing the subject while noticing the distance between us.
"I'd like to keep this distance." She said, matter-of-factly. "Okay, if that's what you want." The distance grew larger. "I'm gonna teleport back to the school, so Weems doesn't find us. Want a lift?" I asked over my shoulder. "What was that?" Wednesday called back. "Oh, okay." I said, knowing what I was doing.
I let Draco slither around my neck. I posted both of my hands out, below me, I used my abilities to lift my self off of the ground. I darted in the air, back to the school in less than a spilt second. I heard Wednesday yelling after me.
I got into the dorm, and just as I closed the door I heard kissing from Enid's side of the room. I looked up to see Ajax. "Oh my God!" I said. Ajax and Enid looked up. Enid looked worried but Ajax had the same stupid grin on his face. "Oh, fuck, dude. What's up?" He asked. "Nothing. I haven't seen you since, what, 4th grade?" I said. "Oh, yeah! Ms. Clinton, right?"
"The one and only bald-headed demon, sent straight from Hell." I replied to him.
I walked over to the room and hugged. Enid cleared her throat as Ajax and I broke apart. "How do you guys know each other?" She said, clearly jealous. "Dude, we're old friends from elementary. Guess she was too odd for the normies." I laughed at his words.
"Oh, by the way, Wednesday said no to getting teleported back to school. Even though, it would've helped us both not get caught by Weems." I said to Enid. "Shit, did you discover all of your powers already?" Ajax asked me. "Yep! There's a lot though. Sometimes I need to look at a list." I replied, laughing.
~Time skip cuz I'm lazier than a pig in shit~
Wednesday's POV
Weems drove me back to Dr. Kinbott's office after being ditched by Katrina. I barely survived the session. Once I made my way back to the dorm, I threw the door open and saw Katrina and Enid talking about something. I stormed over to Katrina and pushed her onto the floor.
I pinned her down with both of my hands on her shoulders. She looked unsurprised. "You ditched me." I said. "Oh, did I?" She cooed, sarcastically. " Yes, and I had to sit there for an hour, listening to Dr. Kinbott's nonsense." I was on the verge of yelling. Katrina just squinted her eyes and grinned slightly.
"Awh, did Weems find you on the side of the road like an abandoned puppy?" She continued to talk to me like an infant. "You abandoned me." I said. "Now you owe me." I stated. "Oh, to what do I owe the pleasure?" She said. I pushed her harder into the wooden floor. The floor began to creak from the applied pressure.
"I'll think about it, but you owe me a lot for that. And right after I helped you escape is double." I stated. "Well, actually I helped you, too. But, who cares, right?" She mumbled. Enid cleared her throat. "What?" I said, turning my head to her. "You know what, never mind." She said, while squinting her eyes slightly.
That always made me angry. I turned back to Katrina. "What did you want to tell me?" I asked her. "Maybe get off of me and I'll tell you." She sighed. I pushed off of her and she sat up. Katrina continued to tell Enid and I about her abilities.
