Perhaps because it was a Friday or another major event was occurring at the same time, but there weren't any places open nearby, and somehow or another, the four ended up standing in the living room of Taejin and his mother's apartment.

After chattering for a bit, his mother and Damin, who volunteered, went to the kitchen to cook, leaving Taejin and Dayoung on the couch. Taejin, who was unsure on what to talk about in this situation, decided to talk about the obvious.

"So... it was out of sheer luck and all, but, you've met Damin after a long time, huh?"

Dayoung nodded as she grabbed the cushion of the couch with both of her hands as she stared down at her feet which clenched.

"Yeah. It's really nice seeing her again. It's really hard to grasp that she's right in front of me and I'm in the same room as her. I only have faint memories of her when I was younger, but she hasn't changed at all. Maybe, her hair is longer. But, everything else is the same."

Taejin, who wished for both of the happiness for them, probed her. "Including personality?"

Dayoung suddenly let go of the cushion and loosened up her feet and dug her heels into the carpet. She then turned to Taejin with a wry smile.

"I guess you know."

Taejin, who wanted to make sure, probed further. "What exactly do you mean?"

"She's really angry at me." She let out a light sigh. "Instead of lashing out at me, she acts extremely kindly and excited. She did the same when she legally left our—my family and when father got angry. It's a distance thing, I guess. If I guessed it correctly, she really only acts this way when she doesn't particular care for their existence. Like, she just wants to get it over with and thinks it's a waste of time to spend any emotion on them. I know in the past I wasn't fair to her, I never knew anything about her either, and I didn't realize how difficult it was for her to live with me and my mother. I definitely caused some grievances for her, and I share our father's blood, so I'm already in trouble there. But, I wanted to speak with her now that I know a bit more about her and her situation. If it doesn't work out then, I'll be okay with that. But, if I'm given the chance and we end up not minding each other, then, that would be great."

Taejin, who didn't want to probe because the details were clearly something more personal and familial, and Dayoung also didn't want to go into detail as well, understood the feelings that she carried.

He smiled at her. "Yeah, that's a really nice mindset. I've been trying to be more like that. Since we've met up like this, you can take your chance. She's pretty prideful, so she'll play her part well. She'll be acting quite sisterly, so, perhaps she'll see your charms once you get through to her."

"Yeah, I sure hope it will work up like that." Dayoung, who held a worried expression, suddenly jumped and she looked up  at him with a shocked expression. "Ah, I'm really sorry that I'm talking just about myself when it's your day. Your mother and I came at a busy time, so we couldn't see you much, but I heard you sing clearly. It was really impressive! I was really entranced by your voice. You probably heard it a lot when you were an idol, but it's really moving. After meeting you and Wonho-ssi, I ended up looking into your group and your songs. I was first surprised because I forgot that the era was really crazy and kind of like a mix of cute punk. It was kind of nostalgic in a sense when I watched the MVs even though it was my first time. It might sound weird to say, but I think the live stages really captured how much you loved the stage. I was kind of disappointed I couldn't actually see you perform, but your voice really carried it. It's not particularly a voice I hear in K-Pop. In a good way of course! Um... I'm rambling, aren't I? I'm sorry..."

Taejin, who hasn't seen a fangirl in quite some time, was somewhat amused and smiled as she spoke.

"No, no need to worry about that. You're excited. What about Wonho? I'm sure you have more to say about him."
