"-Cause I wish I was going with you. At least one of us will get out of this hellhole town" was the first thing Alice heard as she entered her dorm. She had just got back from the cafeteria, apple in hand for Wednesday who was still on her call with the supposed boy that was going to help her escape this weekend at the harvest festival if he agreed to the said plan of course. Wednesday had given her a brief rundown of the plan earlier that morning and as her self-proclaimed main accomplish, she was going to help Wednesday as best she could. She only hoped she didn't get in trouble if anyone found out.
As she closed the door behind her the sound of her silver laptop shutting caught her attention. Wednesday let out a relieved sigh before looking up at the brunette as she made her way to her desk.
"Im assuming he agreed to drive you out?" Alice pondered, looking towards Wednesday as she placed the apple on her worn-out desk.
"Yes, the plan is confirmed on his end." Wednesday looked down at the fruit before raising an eyebrow towards her smiling roommate. "it's for you. You've been up here all-day planning and I haven't seen you leave once, not even for the bathroom which is crazy. Anyway, you should get your blood sugar up a bit so you can keep going so eat up."Alice explained, eyes softening at the curious raventtee.
"I adapt like the crocodiles, if I keep my movement brisk and short I can go days without food, it is unneeded." She replied one offly before standing up to face the girl. Alice winced at her explanation.
"Well regardless even if you can, doesn't mean you have to. At least get your blood sugar up a bit Wednesday you'll be better off if you do."
Wednesday once again quirked her brow. "why do you care if I satiate my hunger or not?"
"So you admit your hungry? Alice gave Wednesday a knowing stare.
Wednesday felt blood rush to her face, eyes burning into Alices'. "If I eat this clearly underripe apple will you stop pestering me about my eating habits?"
Alice felt a victory smile grace her chapped lips before letting out a giggle that had Wednesday blushing harder. "Yes, I will, promise. Also is it really underripe? Im so sorry I didn't check before I grabbed one ill go swap it out" Alice cut herself off with an even bigger blush as Wednesday proceeded to take a bite from the fruit, eyes never leaving hers.
She spoke after a moment. "You know you have quite the annoying habit of over-apologizing. One must remain certain of themselves at all times instead of giving way to misdirected faults that aren't even theirs. It makes you seem weak."
Alice looked down in shame. "Sorry- oh shit wait! I mean okay." Wednesday, as much as she wanted to, couldn't contain the light smirk that graced her lips in amusement. Alice stopped her inner turmoil immediately at the sight, a rather large smile of her own spreading like wildfire across her face.
"Ya know I haven't seen you smile since you came here. Not even once you know that?"Alice stated.
Wednesday immediately wiped the smirk off her lips before turning away from Alice and briskly walking back to her side of the room. "It is not something I do often, showing emotion towards the enemy equals weakness. I will not show weakness."
