As Alice drew nearer to the bell-shaped greenhouse, she felt her smile grow twice its size. It was a bit after her relaxing down time with Wednesday. The two enjoyed the time and made pleasant conversation, well more one-sided on her partbut Wednesday would put in her input when it was due. She would even say she bonded well with the gothic girl and just the thought of them spending more time together made her insides melt.

She closed the door to the greenhouse after she made her way inside, hearing the chattering of students all in one small closed-off space was a bit anxiety-inducing but she felt better when her eyes landed on Wednesday talking beside her favorite plant. It was a rather large venus fly trap that reminded her of her old one her mother Disposed of. She shook said depressing memories away and walked up to the girl.

"Hey Wednesday ready for your first class here?" she cast her glance down and saw thing perched on the wooden table. She smiled and waved at him. "Oh hello thing how did trailing rowan go? Find anything out?"

At her innocent question, Wednesday grimaced before looking up at her, clearly upset by something. "No in fact he didn't find anything. He lost him in a room with no windows of all things." Wednesday looked down at the bruting hand "a leftie wouldn't have failed me." she sneered. Thing was upset at her response as he lowered into the table, seemingly wanting to phase through it.

Alice looked over, her sympathy for thing showing through her kind face. "Oh, Wednesday don't be harsh im sure thing did his best, right bud?" Wednesday shook her head.

"Don't sugarcoat his failure Alice he must learn to be more observant when I send him on tasks." she insisted. Seeing as the girl wouldn't change her mind Alice said nothing as thing sulked away. She would have to talk to him later.

"Ally come sit with me and Yoko!" Enid yelled from the back of the class. Since Thornhill's class had an uneven number of students there was a third-seater desk put in the back of the classroom that was already occupied by a bubbly Enid and coy Yoko. Alice smiled and gave her a thumbs-up from across the class before looking back on Wednesday. "Good luck in the first class Wednesday you'll do great im sure." She encouraged before moving to the back with her friends.

Wednesday looked back at the girl and blinked before she made her way to the only spare table left in the room. Wednesday noticed that one of the seats was taken up by Xavier. Said boy looked up seeing Wednesday and gestured to the empty seat.

"There's an open spot next to me. If you can stand sitting that close to an elitist snob." He uttered as he kept drawing in his book.

Wednesday took a brief glance around the room one more time noticing no other spare seats. She let an irritated sigh leave her lips before she begrudgingly took her seat next to the boy. Xavier stopped his scribbling to reveal a large black widow depicted on the worn sketchbook. He cast his hand over it and the image slowly rose now in animated form.
