Next Weekend?

*Oops just a short one, cuz the next one miiiight be kinda long!*

The next morning was Friday. I took a much needed shower and met my parents in the kitchen for breakfast.

"hey Annie, your mom and I are going out of town for our anniversary next weekend." Dad told me.

"oh ok. Do you mind maybe if I have Veronica over? Or see if Eddie can stay with me?" I asked.

Dad looked up from the paper "Sure I guess."

"cool. Imma head out for school love you guys."

I could hardly think of anything else but this weekend. I saw Eddie in the parking lot, he was smoking in the van. I was so excited to see him but I didn't want to tell him just yet.

Veronica caught me spacing out in English.

"What's with you today?" she asked.

"oh nothing. Hey do you wanna go to the mall tomorrow?" I asked.

"sure. But you better quit acting so weird."

I parked the car at the mall. When I took the key out of the ignition I turned to Veronica.

"Ok so, my parents are going out of town next weekend... and I'm gonna have Eddie stay with me."

"Ok....?" She said looking at me like I was insane.

"and.... I think we're gonna have sex. For like the first time together."

"oh God."

"don't look at me like that Veronicaaaa."

"so what does this have to do with us going to the mall?" she asked still confused.

"I want it to be special. I need to get some stuff. I need your help."

"God why are you always dragging me into stuff that has to do with you and your freak boyfriend."

"he's not a freak. Because you're my best friend. Come on now let's go."

We walk into the department store and make our way back to the intimate apparel section.

"I wanna get a new night gown. Something that he'll like."

Veronica pulled put a long sleeve, full langth purple night gown with white riffles on it.

"What about this one?"

"Cut it out Veronica."

"What its nice, I like it."

"What about this one?" I pulled a tiny little satin slip with lacy straps.

"God Annie that'll barely cover you at all."

"Maybe you're right. Maybe something in-between."

We went through some more racks.

"look at this one."

She pull out a knee length satin one with lace accents on the bottom and along the v'ed neckline.

"I think that's perfect. Oh and it comes in black! Love it. I'm getting it."

"See maybe I'm not a prude stick in the mud." Veronica said.

"Love you!" I said smiling at her.

We went to the candle shop and I got some tea lights and pillars to have around the room. Veronica had got a new pair of shoes. Because, when does she not?

I dropped her off at home and hugged her.

"Thank you best friend." I said.

I went to Eddie's before going home.

"Finally. I missed you." He said as I walked in the door. "Saturday's normally our day."

" I'm sorry, Veronica needed a new pair of shoes and I told her I would take her."

"That's fine. I guess I can share." He said wrapping his arms around me.

"so uh, what are you doing next Saturday?"

"Nothing."

"well, my parents are going out of town. I was wondering if you wanted to stay with me, all weekend actually. Come over after Hellfire on Friday night and stay through Sunday."

"I'd love that." He said smiling, leaning down to kiss my Forehead.
