"WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE JUST SHOOT ME IN THE FOOT ALREADY?" Kamden groaned, staring down at the hideous pilgrim uniform that she held in her hands, a disgusted scowl on her face. "I'd rather die than to wear this piece of sh-"

"Don't be disrespectful, child." The tour guide, Mistress Arlene, snapped at her. "It is an honor to dress in the uniform of our ancestors."

"Ah yes, I love my trashy, racist great, great, great, great, great-"

"That's quite enough." Mistress Arlene snapped.

"-grandparents." Kamden finished her sentence, a cocky smile on her face.

"I think it'll be fun to dress like a pilgrim." Eugene stepped up beside her.

"Our ideas of fun are very different." Kamden shuddered as the group was led to the changing rooms.

"I have to agree with Kamden on this one."

Kamden and Eugene whipped their heads around to see Wednesday approaching them. "Wednesday, what are you doing? I thought you were working in one the of the shops in town." Kamden furrowed her brow, attempting to keep a cool exterior despite the fact that her heart had quickened its pace.

"I traded with Enid." She replied simply. "Let's get this over with, shall we?"

"Behold!" Mistress Arlene boomed, grabbing the attention of the distracted audience of students once more. "The meeting house." She held out her arm, motioning to a large wooden building just up ahead from the group. "Inside is a collection of artifacts related to Jericho's most beloved and pious founder, Joseph Crackstone."

Kamden felt Wednesday suck in a breath from her place beside her, and she tried to sneak a glance at the dark haired girl from the corner of her eye.

Mistriss Arlene went on, "And beyond is our privy, America's first gender neutral bathroom."

"I haveth a query." Wednesday took a step forward.

"Pray, be quick, child." Mistress Arlene shot her a impatient look.

"In the meeting house, which of Joseph Crackstone's artifacts are on display?"

"It is truly a treasure trove." Mistress Arlene was happy to talk about the subject, and her face immediately softened up. "Including original farm tools, tableware, even the Crackstone family chamber pot."

"Sounds fascinating." Wednesday said flatly. "I volunteer to work in there."

"Pray, no." Mistress Arlene stopped her. "That exhibit is being renovated. Today, thou will all be working at the beating heart of Pilgrim World."

With a simple nod of the head, Misstress Arlene motioned for the group to follow her, which they did. She lead the students to a nearby building, the giant sign above the door reading—
