Lana, John, and Marcos rushed to Clarisse's side. The family on the other hand, were frantic.

"Our dad! We have to go back," the teen girl cried, rushing to Clarisse. "Take us back please."

Marcos looked to them. "She's hurt, there is no way she can bring us back there."

The mother cut in, frenzied. "My husband was shot; we cannot leave him to die!"

"Hello, can you take us back?" The boy questioned, moving past the other mutants and shaking Clarisse's shoulder.

"ENOUGH!" Lana yelled, startling the family. "We cannot go back with Clarisse in this condition. It's suicide."

"But our dad, we have to help him," The blonde girl argued.

"You will be of no use to your dad if you are dead. Now, you can lay low here and we can find your dad later," Lana said. "Or you can find him on your own. The choice is yours but if you choose the latter, the door is that way," Lana pointed to the large oak doors.

"You have no right to speak to us that way young lady," the mother attempted to scold Lana.

Lana looked to her, skin once again diamond and eyes cold. "Laurna, our leader is gone. Your husband, tried to put her behind bars for saving lives-"

"My husband only puts criminals in jail."

Lana scoffed. "Like us? We saved your asses, and we had no reason to. A thank you would be nice, and should we choose to let you stay I am currently in charge so if you have a problem, consult me." The adult woman looked away, backing down. Lana phased back and began helping move Clarisse.

"Hurts, I've never gone that far before," Clarisse mumbled before going limp in Marcos' arms. He laid her on the bench close by.

Lana walked towards her, lifting her hand to her temple, then to Clarisse. It seemed to calm Clarisse down but strained Lana.

The boy her age then came to her. "Hey, I'm sorry for how we acted," he told her sullenly.

"It's fine, you were upset. I apologize for snapping at you and your mother."

The boy nodded. "What you did back there, at the warehouse, I mean. It was pretty cool." This caused Lana to smile.

"Just doing my job," Lana said quietly. At that moment, Clarisse's body went tense, a portal opening near her, a car coming through it. Someone grabbed Lana, shoving her away. After the commotion, Lana lifted her head, shocked to see the boy on top of her. "Take me to dinner first," she joked, hearing the wordless panic coming from his thoughts.

"I'm so sor-"

"Lana!"

"Andy!"

John pushed the car away, asking if Lana was alright, she nodded. "Andy, honey are you alright?" Andy's mother said checking for any injuries.

"Yes mom, I'm fine," Andy said, embarrassed.

"Everyone else, okay?" Lana questioned John.

"Yeah, only Catelin was hurt," John said. "We need to move her." Marcos and Lana nodded, and the men lifted her, Lana moving things off of the table. Clarisse went stiff again, another portal opening to the same area.

Panicked, Lana and Marcos prepared for a fight, but John shut them down.  This gave enough time for Andy's sister to close the portal with her shields.

"She needs a hospital," Catelin said.

"If we got you that medication, could you help her?" John asked.
