"Hey, go to sleep." Richard said as he opened the door and sent me out. "Don't believe in that kid. He's nuts." He whispered. "Well it look like his not lying." I replied. "Well, still. Don't. Those things never happen." Richard said. "There's no Legend or time. We are alone, and we need to survive or get eaten by them." Richard pointed outside. Which is not really safe anymore. "Look. It's going to be a long day tomorrow. So best if you sleep. I'll lead you to your room." Richard said and walked in the narrow hallway. Which in every side is a door. "How many are we here?" I asked. "Few only. Some are eaten. But we survive." Richard said. "Here." Richard pointed in the direction of a old, plain, wooden door. As I got inside the as I sat on the bed it felt like hay. As I peek through the bed sheet it was actually hay. I looked in the pillows. Good thing there not hay. "Seriously."
"It's what we got. I told you. It's dangerous out there. No time to buy a bed." I nodded. As I sleep. The hay felt comfortable. And so It got me into another nightmare. I was in a staircase. I was in my house. I saw dad going downstairs. I tried to talk to him but as he went downstairs he just passed me by. He grabbed the newspaper And held the tea on the on the other hand. As he put his tea on the table he sat on a couch and read his newspaper. But what he didn't notice is that someone opened the window and went in. It was a hunter. But he didn't eat Dad. Instead, it grabbed a small bottle with purplew liquid on it. And poured a drop on Dad's tea. "Dad don't drink it!" But obivously he can't hear me. He drank the tea. After he coughed for a few mnutes. "Your death is when you're boy will know about his powers." The hunter said.
He will nevr know. He'll live a normal life."
"Someone will make him know."
"Who?" the hunter pointed at my mother which she was holding a baby. It was me. I was a baby back then.
"Honey, who are you talking to? You made our boy cry." She said sadly.
"Sorry hon." My dad replied. As he glanced where the hunter was it was gone. The hunter was back. It looked at me. It made me nervous and ran back. It ran after me. Showing it's sharo teeth and it's claws swaying while chasing me. I was cornered. It just ran after me. I closed my eyes. As I open I was back in my room. "Hey. Seemed to me you had a nightmare." The woman said.
"You did it, didn't you?"
"No I don't. I just watched you ran after that hunter. That was hilarious."she said and bursted out a laugh.
"Haha, very funny." After that she stopped laughing.
"Get up. Were going to do a lot of work." So I got up. Took a bath and and dressed up.
As I walk down the hallway. I heard the room on my side banging the door. "Get me out of here!" She said. I realized then that she was my mother. "Wouldn't you let her out?" I said. In a second. The banging stops. "Seriously? When will you stop that?!"
"Well at least it got quiet." she said and smiled. As we went downstairs. I saw everyone staring at me.
"Well, what a nice day, I guess." Julie said. She was just behind the woman all along.
"So. . . I have a question. What's your name?" I asked and looked at the woman, waiting for her answer.
"Don't bother to know." She said and pushed me aside. "So let's welcome Julie and Noel to our family!" And everyone applaused. "Come and eat." The guy with a blue shirt said. "So is everyone here are not normal?" I asked. It doesn't mean were not normal because we don't have powers." The other guy smirked. "Ok ok ok. Let's just eat." I said and went for the nearest chair, and sat beside Julie. "Are you fine?" Julie asked. "You look pale today."
"Oh, I have a nightmare."
"Promise me. If you saw it, you would laugh." The woman said and laughed again.
"Oh, just shut up." I replied.
"So what was it about?" Julie asked and stared at the woman, meaning to shut up.
"Well. It's about my past life."
"Oh, ok you don't need to tell me." I agreed and started eating my food. It was bacon with egg, and orange juice on my right side.
"But what you dreamt of. Doesn't feel like just a dream." The woman said. "It feels like it happened before."
"I really think it did. but I'm not sure if it's true or not."
"Maybe time is trying to send you a message." The woman suggested.
"Oh, please stop thinking about that. That ain't even true." Richard argued.
"I say you shut your mouth if you won't say anything good young man." The woman scolded and stared at him. Richard stared back. "Fine." Richard complained at began to eat his food again.
"So is it really true?"
"About your dream?"
"No, I mean about time and legend." I wondered.
"It's true. But it's our job to cleanse this world with hunters. Not them. So just stop complaining if their not here to help." The woman began stare again at Richard, but Richard ignored her.
"Hey, so since the hunters are out of sight can we pick up my parents? I mean. I'm scared that the hunters might get them." Julie said. Breaking the silence.
"The hunters 'will' get them." Richard corrected.
"So what are we doing then? Let's go!" And Julie ran to the door. But before she could. Richard grabbed her arm.
"You know it's too late." Richard said. "I'm sorry."
"What do you mean it's too late?! Noel, let's go leave these guys."
"Hunter's follow our scent. It cuts off a kilometer radius if you ended here." Richard said. "So the hunters will end up sniffing in your house." Richard said with his head down. "My. . . god." Then Julie began to cry.
"Well, let's just try going to Julie's house. They might be there." I suggested. "Besides. Were not sure. So it's worth a look."
"Fine." Richard said. Btu before we left. He grabbed a bag of salt.
"What does salt have to do with what were going to do?" I asked.
"Trust me. This is no salt." Richard said and told us to open the garage so he could start the car.
