The seventh wheel

Another Safe house

We went outside the safe house to pick up Julie's mom. While we were listening to Richard's lame song. No offense. So I never bothered to listen. After a few minutes, we were here already. "I can't believe everything of this happened in one small village." I then realized.

"Well, lucky for you then. Cause if we didn't place our safe house here. The hunters could've ate your intestines as noodles." Richard replied.

"We didn't come here to argue. I'll go talk to my parents." Julie said and pushed us out of the way. " Whoa whoa." Richard said and grabbed Julie's arm. "That's not my plan."

"Our plan is pick them up and lead them to the safe house. What the hell are you thinking?" Julie said and pulled out her arm. But Richard grabbed it again. "Look, first of all. We are over capacity in the safe house, and it's not a good idea to let people like them about us. we have a problem already. Noel's mom and he hunters, and the safety of the children."

"So what shall we do then?"

"We are going to put this around the house, and this is not salt."Richard said and smirked at me. "But their worried, shouldn't suppose I tell them that I'm fine?"

"No. It's too dangerous. As long as your parents doesn't know where and what powers do you have they'll be fine. But just to make sure they are I just need to put these around the house." Richard said and gave us identical bags with what looks like salt in it. Which I know that it isn't. "Make it fast." Richard commanded. Then we started. We pour the salt(I don't know what is it so let's just call it salt) around the front yard. "Well that was easy." I commented.

"There's still the backyard." Richard sighed.

"There's a dog in the backyard." Julie warned.

"What do we do then?" I asked, and thought of what to do.

"Well we may slow time." Julie suggested.

"But were not. It's too dangerous. You're scent will be stronger and the hunters might come back, and you know what happened last night was a close call." Richard warned.

"Well, so do you any plan?" Julie smirked. Richard thought for a moment. But then he shook his head.

"I guess we'll do my plan." Julie smiled.

"But just make sure you use before the dog barks. Maybe we can pour this all over the backyard without being spotted." Richard suggested.

"It's impossible." Julie commented. But Richard ignored her.

"Here we go, I guess, and Noel. You guard the front yard. Make sure no hunters are waiting for us in the front." Richard commanded. I nodded, and Richard hopped on the fence and sneaked in. In a few moments as I heard a bark time slowed down. I can feel my body weighing me down as I move. Then I saw Richard hopped out of the backyard, and time went normal. "The hunters shouldn't see that we came here. Go in the car now!" Richard shouted and we ran. As I went in my hands are shaking. From nervous maybe.

"My hands are shaking. What's happening?" I asked, then I saw Richard and Julie's hand shaking too.

"Their near." Richard said. He started the car and stepped on the pedal. As we went like meters away from the house, I looked at the back of my car and saw hunters running after us. "Julie. Use you're powers. We need to loose them." Richard commanded.

"I-I- I can't. . ." Julie said.

"Do it!" Richard shouted. Julie did, But for a few moments it went back normal.

"Julie what happened? Continue doing it!" Richard ordered. But as he glanced at Julie. She was asleep. Too much usage of powers.

"You shouldn't have do that!" I said angrily.

"No time for arguing kid."

The hunters were close at chasing us, until one hunter shouted,and all the other stopped. I felt the hunter look at me. "Did you do it?" Richard asked feeling surprised.

"No. One hunter did." Then Richard's jaw dropped.

"Do you think it was trying to help us?" Richard thought.

"I guess so." I replied.

"I felt it look me." I added.

"It may have a relationship on you." Richard suggested. "But of course that's impossible. All that they know is eat and eat."

"You think Julie's going to be okay?" I asked.

"She needs rest. We can't risk her life on this." Then I nodded. After the incident. I thought about that hunter. I still remember last night that when the hunter saw it stopped running after us, then it ran away. Well that was strange, and now it helped us. Who is it and why is it doing that? Well I'm not sure. But I really think I should say that to the kid. Maybe he can help. As we ate dinner, But Julie haven't cause she got unconscious in the accident. When I finished eating, I went upstairs and went inside the kid's room. "Hey, Are you okay?" He asked the same question last night. "Uh, yeah. Listen, Richard and I went to Julie's house and putted some salt around the the house-"

"You mean powder." He corrected.

"You mean it's just powder?" I asked.

"No, we don't name them. I just it powder." And then he smiled. He doesn't look nuts at all. I don't even know what Richard is talking about.

"Okay, let's go back to the main topic." I said. "As he put powder around the house we left and then hunters chase us. But the other one shouted and the hunters stopped." Then I ended, having a moment of silence. Oh yeah, I felt the hunter look at me." Then I did the moment of silence again. I saw the kid scratching his head. Like he never scratched his head when he get questions.

"The hunter that did this unusual activity might know you. Or you know that hunter and then relationships began and then blah blah blah I don't really know." And he smiled again.

"But I thought hunters eat us? Then why would it make a relationship with me or have time to know me? I mean, They only eat that's all." I said. Now this is getting confused.

"Remember where they came from." The kid said, and pointed to me. "It came from us."

"I think you're right." I commented and thank him for the talk.

"Remember. . . I was never wrong." And this time he winked at me.

"Okay. . . That was awkward." I said and waved him goodbye. As I went out of the room I saw You Richard outside the door.
"Why are you still awake?!" Richard asked me.
"Well I just-"
"Go to your room. Now." Richard commanded. So I went to my room and look below the window. Which is a post and someone standing by the safe house. I stared at the guy who was standing. It wears a hood but it wasn't black like the hunters. But I never bothered it. I just lay down to my bed and closed my eyes, and in a matter of minutes I heard a creak in the hallway.
