The seventh wheel

Jack's POV

'Well, here we go.' I thought, and there's no turning back. I don't know how many minutes does it take to go to his village, so I ended up falling asleep. I didn't realize that I was already here in his village and that driver needed to wake me up which was pretty embarrassing. I walked around his village, trying to remember his street and house number. I can't believe how beautiful these places are here like the park where people play frisbee, train their dogs and go on picnics. When I came to his street, walking in the street's lane I saw the house number he mentioned. 'This is it.'I thought, so I knocked on his door, but no one answered. I waited for 5minutes, yet no one still opened the door. 'Maybe they were gone?'I thought. I will just lose effort of waiting if I just stand here. And so I left, walking in my route. Then when I saw the park again, I sat on one of the bench and closed my eyes. I smelled a stench of perfume next to my side. I thought someone was sitting beside me but there wasn't. That was Noel's perfume. Im sure of it. He always wears it if it's a "special occasion". But if Noel really left... Where would he go? Well, everytime we went to go somewhere, he always suggested to go to the mall. So i went. I walked my way out of the village and grabbed a taxi and told the driver to go to the nearest mall. I didn't know what were the names of malls, but I was sure that Noel will also prefer the nearest one. When the taxi stopped, I payed and quickly got out. I need to find Noel. When I came in, I started roaming the mall. Memorizing the places Ive been so I wont get lost and finding him at the same time. It took me maybe so many minutes searching for him. Then at last. I saw him in a table.. But chatting with a girl?! I don't know if I should disturb him of not... Wait for him until he's done? I don't think so. But I think I have to. Maybe disturbing him with his "friend" by seeing me will leave him a shock and shoo me away since his talking to a girl which I see he definitely had a crush on. So no choice. I have to wait. Of course, I can't just stand beside waiting for it to be finished. I bought Ice cream for a while and when I came back they weren't there anymore. Then I found them getting away, so then I ran just behind them. I can here the girl giggling. What was he saying? I don't know, but most stories that he tells are funny and the times of my embarassment. He even acts it, like I tripped downstairs, got an apple pie on my face(one of Noel's pranks) Well I don't know if I keep track of 'em all day. I mean, this time were not on a mall. They got out and came in a taxi and the driver drove. I too also got a taxi, then told the driver to follow them. This time, they stopped in a different village. Which is bad since it's not crowded they can turn back anytime they want, and they were walking to a different park more crowded than back in Noel's village. Well, that's good. When they were at the park, that's the time they kept on turning back. I can just pretend to be a person walking by the park, or someone sitting and staring at people doing their errands. Well, this time Noel ia giggling. Maybe sharing stories in a place like this would be great. Then they turned back. But this time its not a glimpse. They just walked their way back to the route and walked. Then I realized that there villages are near that its like a walking distance. So they walked. After 5 or maybe 10 minutes they came in the village where Noel lives. Well, it's already 4 in the afternoon. Hope their not going to do anything. They came to the house where he lives. Good. I really want to talk to that guy. Then what must Ive seen was a nightmare. They just kissed, the girl's arms around his neck and his arms around her waist. Well, telling it to him what I saw will really make him mad. So I just kept to myself on what happened. Then the girl waved goodbye and walked back. Well, I just hid in the tree that's all. Then as She was out of sight, I peeked out the tree and realized that he was inside already. I walked, tinking on what to do when they see each other. Well, it has only been four days since they haven't met. He shouldn't be overeacting about stuff since it's only a few days. So when he was in front of the door. He knocked. Obviously. Then, Noel opened the door. He didn't seemed surprised about me seeing him. "I knew there was something fishy about you. Hahaha." He managed to laugh. But as what I saw earlier, I don't think he's still going to keep me in his mind. "Well, what are you doing here? You know we could've just chat on facebook if you want." He suggested, meeting my eyes. He knew I wasn't satisfied on just chatting with him on facebook. "So, what do you want to do? I mean.. We have 3 hrs left so.. Yeah." I was thinking on where we should go. But I couldn't find any idea where. "Hey, I know where to go!" He suggested. "Follow me!" So I did and what I saw was a beautiful park. With trees surrounding the vast fields, and on the very end of the fields was a river. "Well, this is the nicest thing Ive ever seen in this village. I mean. Look at it! Isn't it beautiful?" Noel looked impressed as he waved his hand around the fields. "Well, yeah, this would be a nice meeting place for someone." I said, and he looked far away. I knew I told some part of what happened earlier. Then he broke the silence. "Oh yeah, by the way, I just met someone. She's freaking hot." Then I know this part. Where he talks about her and then leaves him."her name is Rachel. And I just met her passing by the school--" Then I thought about wat was going to happen and my future. So sad. Then I didn't realize that he already stopped talking.
