"It's time I faced him."
"Yes. You're ready to face your past, Cal."
The Mantis crew were sat in the lounge area, the harsh morning sun of Dathomir illuminating the room through the windscreen of the ship. Altheeda was sat next to Greez on the sofa and Cere stood behind the counter as she cleared away their dishes. All eyes were on Cal, who stood in front of the sofa as he prepared himself for another visit to the planet, hoping that he would achieve his objective and be able to move on.
"What about you and Trilla?" He questioned Cere curiously.
"I don't know if I'll ever be ready." Cere admitted.
Altheeda nodded at her answer understandingly. She thought about what would happen if she ever had to face her father again. The fear quickly disintegrated this thought and she continued to listen to the conversation.
"You know what you need to do to start healing and I'm so proud of you for that." Cere spoke once again, revealing a more vulnerable side to herself. "I'm on my own path."
"I'm here for you if you need me." Cal replied solemnly.
Cere gave the Jedi a grateful nod whilst Greez stared warily at the view that was through the open door to the Mantis.
"You best be on your way, kid. The sooner we're off this piece of rock the better."
"Way to ruin the moment, Greez." Altheeda muttered.
"Keep it together, Captain. Nothing is going to get you when you stay inside the ship all day long." The former Jedi smirked.
"Any maintenance you want doing?" The redheaded girl asked with a hopeful gleam in her eye.
"You've done it all. By all means, check it once more if you want something to do."
"I'm glad I'm not the only one who's bored of this dusty rock." Greez spoke through a sigh.
"Things will be different this time." Cal spoke with a focused gaze. "I will do everything to make sure that when we leave Dathomir it will be for good."
BD-1 beeped encouragingly and brought a smile upon each face of the Mantis crew.
"You're right, he can't take all the credit, BD."
"Hey!" The Jedi chuckled at his companion.
Cere and Greez watched the pair of them share a laugh together and straight away noted this positive energy between them. A part of Cere didn't want to end the moment yet she knew time was of the essence.
"You best be on your way, Cal."
"I will see you all soon." He nodded before turning away and setting foot through the door as BD-1 bid the room goodbye.
As she watched his figure become a silhouette mingling with the sunlight, Altheeda had an indescribable feeling that made itself known in her chest. All she could conclude from it was that it was positive and that from it, she could tell that Cal was right.
Things would be different this time.

"Master."
Jaro Tapal strode towards as Cal was knelt before him. He had once again found himself in some sort of clouded illusion.
"You were wrong to come here unarmed."
The Jedi instantly rebutted this by revealing his new lightsaber, arming it in such a way as if he was displaying it to his Master.
"Not unarmed."
