*Y/N*

This is weird. Why is Wanda being so hesitant toward me all of a sudden? I thought–

"Why did you get me flowers?" She rushes out finally.

This is some deja vu stuff right here. But she sort of seems.. mad? Shit.

"What? You're upset because I got you flowers? Sorry Wanda I–"

"No, y/n. I'm not upset at you. You don't always have to apologize for being yourself. You don't always have to assume you're in the wrong or did something wrong. I just– why did you get me flowers? I've sort of made your time at the Tower not the best over the last few weeks."

Am I really going to tell her the truth right now or do I make up a lie?

"And don't lie to me, please." She interrupts your internal monologue.

Why is she questioning this so much?

"Wanda. I got you flowers because I wanted to. Why is it so hard to believe that I would want to get you flowers?"

"I– I don't deserve flowers though, y/n. Especially not from you."

Your heart sinks at her words and you desperately search her face to get her eyes to meet yours, but they stay locked onto the ground.

I guess we are doing this.

"Wanda, you 100% deserve flowers. I don't know why you think that you don't? You honestly deserve to be given more than flowers. I–"

Just fucking get it out. What's the worst that can happen? You run into a wall again?

" –I wanted to get those flowers specifically for you because I thought... I thought maybe you would keep them in your room and every time you looked at them you would maybe, just for a second, think about me. And I thought that if you were thinking about me just for that one second, it would make this more fair since – since I think about you all of the time." The words rush out of your mouth before you can really comprehend what you just told her.

You crinkle your nose, swiping at the feeling of something tickling it. You blink your eyes harder, trying to focus on Wanda's words but they all begin to melt into one another. The tickling on your face becomes more persistent, and it isn't until you hear her voice once again that you are snapped into reality.

"Y/n, wake up. I want to go out for breakfast." Wanda traces her fingers across your face gently as she tries to coax you awake. Once you begin to stir she scoots closer to where you lay and hides her face in the crook of your neck. Your arms automatically wrap around her and pull her closer into you. You can feel her smile against your neck as you finally fully wake up and realize

It was a dream.

Wanda senses a shift in you, knowing you are awake since your breathing changed. She stays connected to you but pulls her head to look at you. "What's wrong?" Her words come out worried, and almost immediately she goes to move herself off of you. Not wanting her to move, you wrap your arms tighter around her, silently signaling that you do not want her to leave.

"Sorry... I just had a dream? I don't know, I don't usually dream so it's a little disorienting. It felt so real... like I've experienced it before." She tilts her head to the side, silently asking you to keep talking. "You were in it. It seemed like we were in a hotel. You were asking me why I got you flowers." You shrug your shoulders, relaxing a bit more into the bed while Wanda continues to stare at you.

"Y/n."

"Yeah?"

"That was a memory. That happened about 9 months ago."
