Johnny loved nature and was hella fascinated by it so Ghost wanted to pay back for christmas to him so he planned on inviting Johnny for camping. He didn't really liked the idea of being surrounded by insects and animals in open space, but as long as Scottish man enojyed it he did it as well. It was supposed to be a surprise so when Soap went out for grocery shopping he went to the nearest store that would sell things like tent and sleeping bags. After qucik shopping he got back and organized everything. It could be cold so Ghost packed jackets and hoodies for both of them. After that he sat on the couch and waited for his love. It didn't take much time, after couple of minutes Simon heard click on the doors.
Hey Lt I'm back and i got some ingredients so we can make lasagna just like I promi-
What? - Ghost didn't know why Soap was so confused when he saw him sitting on the couch like a teenage girl being at boy's house for the first time.
What's this? Are we going somewhere and I don't know about this?
Uh, yeah i wanted to ask you to go camping with me tonight. I know you like nature and all.
Aww Simon, but you don't like camping . - Soap placed grocery on the kitchen cabinet and sat next right to Ghost.
Yeah I don't, but you do. - Ghost replied looking away from his partner.
They talked a bit about it and Soap was really excited that the big man wanted to take him out. After that they both made their way to the kitchen to finally make some food. While Simon took out the plates and put them on table Johnny was already taking out lasagna from the oven. It smelled so good that Soap sniffed it a bit and goddamn he made the best food ever. While eating they talked about the trip again.
So you're not scared to sleep in the tent?
Why? I'm not a baby Johnny.
But sometimes you act like one. - he smirked.
Whatever I just hope that it will be peaceful tonight. - Ghost replied as he rolled his eyes.
After Simon finished eating he waited for Johnny to finish and grab both of the plates and put them in the sink. He told his love to grab the bags and pack them in the back of the car. Soap did it and waited for Ghost inside the car. Of course Soap was a passenger seat princess, and Ghost was the one who would drive all the time. He didn't mind it, he would take naps while they had a long drives and Ghost would put on some music and quietly hum to it.
When British man arrived he checked if Johnny took everything they needed and they started to looking for some good location to spend the night. They finally choose some field near the lake that was an hour ago from their place. They didn't talk much it was silent most of the time, but it was something that was comfortable. It wasn't an awkward silence it was nice to just sit next to each other and enjoy company even if they just drove.
When they arrived Ghost grabbed most of the bags and let Johnny grab the other ones. Of course it wasn't that easy to put the tent so it wouldn't fall, but after some time of swearing and kicking the tent they made it and everything was ready.
I think we should eat something the lasagna was great, but I'm still hungry.
Alright I'm gonna look for some wood to make campfire. - Ghost said as he started to walk away from their place.
Okay, and Simon?
Yeah? - He jogged and grabbed Simon's face and kissed him. Be careful out there. - He said as he smiled at him.
I will Johnny.
Twenty minutes passed and Ghost got back with wood. They lighted the campfire and took bread and sausage from the bag. It was a nice place and you could see the sky clearly. Johnny was fascinated by it and he forgot about his food. It burned and it probably wouldn't taste good.
Jesus Johnny you can't even focus on such a small thing.
Just relax for a second Simon. I can make another one. - he smirked as he lightly hit the other man's arm.
When it was time to go to bed Ghost realised Johnny forgot the other sleep bag. Not like it was a problem they could sleep together and they already did, but one sleep bag is too small for two big guys. Simon just sighed and told Johnny to take it. He didn't mind sleeping without it he just hoped that nothing would try to disturb his sleep.
You didn't packed any blankets did you?
No. I thought you got the other sleeping bag.
Ah, okay my bad. - feeling kind of guilt Johnny sighed and went to the tent.
Hey Johnny, maybe we could stay out here for a little bit and watch stars? You won't burn your food this time.
Yes sir! - he jumped out of the tent sitting next to Ghost.
Stop calling me that, we're off duty. - rolling his eyes, he slowly put his head on Soap's shoulder.
Alright, alright as you wish. - smiling Johnny wrapped his hand around Ghost and watched the stars.
Simon finally felt safe and could relax for now. Johnny was like a tea in the morning for him, like a good book you know you will go back to because it's so good. He was his everything and even if he didn't show it that much he loved Johnny. Ghost loved him like noone could ever do. Scottish man made him feel like a human, like a person. Soap was his home that he never wanted to leave. Thinking about this made him fall asleep on Soap's shoulder.
Seeing this Johnny started to slowly and gently stroke Simon's hair. He kissed him on the forehead and got back to watching the stars looking for one that would be their star.
