Chapter 7 A Familiar Place

Y/n P.O.V.

My head hurting was my first thought when I woke up. Unimaginable pain worse than any migraine I've ever had. The second thought was if Frisk and Chara were ok. I was laying down and got up to my feet slowly my body was uninjured for some odd reason. I looked down at my feet for some gray flooring to be present. Were we in a cave of some kind I thought? I glance around me the walls being gray as the floor yet it felt familiar.

I glance behind me and see Frisk and Chara. I kneel and check Frisk for any injuries they seemed to have none and their pulse seemed fine. I checked Chara and they seemed uninjured but when I touched their neck I felt weird. Their pulse was fine. I look up and see nothing but the night sky from the bottom of the cavern from where I was at.

I take a closer look around my surroundings and see a large door behind me. As I walk to it the pain in my head grew stronger. There was a symbol on the door with four pointed points like a trident and a handle to which it seemed to connect the points. It looked as if it were a mark of some kind. I heard a noise from behind me and turned around fast to see Chara getting up slowly.

Chara: "Ugh where am I?"

Y/n: "I think we're in some sort of cave because we fell down that hole."

Chara fully stands up and takes a look around the cavern.

Chara: "Well this blows. Any idea of how we get out of here?"

Y/n: "I was thinking maybe this door or the other path down that hallway."

I point toward a dark hallway that I had barely noticed up until now. Chara notices Frisk still being unconscious

Chara: "Oh shit, Frisk wake up cmon we need you awake right now."

Chara shakes Frisk many times and that seemed to get a response out of them.

Frisk: "Five more minutes Chara.."

Chara: "This is no time to be sleeping, Frisk WAKE UP!"

Chara aggressively shakes Frisk which fully wakes up Frisk.

Frisk: "I'm up jeez, where are we?"

Frisk sits up and gazes around the surrounding area.

Y/n: "We're in a cave but don't panic we have an unknown chance that way is the exit or leads to certain death."

I pointed to the dark passageway. Frisk looked nervous while Chara seems unfazed by the situation.

Frisk: "Let me call sans first."

Frisk tries calling sans only to realize that there is no signal. Frisk stands up and makes their way over to the hallway signaling both you and Chara to come over and start walking with them.

Frisk: "If I had a quarter for every time I fell into an unknown cave and get up without injuries I would have two quarters which is weird because it happened twice."

Chara: "We get it Frisk you're trying to make small talk but there isn't much to talk about."

Y/n: "Well my head has been hurting ever since I woke up but that might just be an injury."

While we were walking Frisk notices some weird text on the wall. It had multiple symbols and yet I felt inclined to take a closer look.

Frisk: "Hey look at this."

Frisk tries to read the gibberish but gives up after a few tries.

Chara: "This is kinda like a movie I saw the other day when the people get stuck in a cave with cave humans and they were cannibals."
