Chapter 12 Some Time Between Friends

Y/n P.O.V.

By the time we arrived at my house it started pouring rain. Me and Chara rush inside and take a breather.

Chara: "How did it start raining so quickly."

Y/n: "It rained just two days ago, so maybe the storm came back for round two."

Chara: "We should probably get these wet clothes off us."

Y/n: "Yeah you're right, wait what will you wear."

Chara: "Uhh wait I forgot I don't have clothes, I'll just stay in my wet clothes"

Y/n: "No I'll just get you some of my clothes."

Chara seemed flustered and her cheeks flared up.

Chara: "Well uh- Su- uh. Only if you want."

Y/n: "I'll get you that clothes."

I run into my room and grab some of my clothes. I Scream internally for a few seconds then run back into my living room. I hand over the clothes to Chara.

Y/n: "The bathroom is down the hall second door."

Chara: "Thanks Y/n."

I go into my room and change out of my wet clothes and walk past the bathroom to the laundry room and stick my clothes in the dryer. I walk back to the living room and get the fireplace started while Chara changes in the bathroom. A few minutes later she comes out. My clothes are big on her with my sweater reaching to her thighs. I feel my cheeks flare up and I turn away. Before I had done so I had seen her blushing as well.

Y/n: "Finally finished changing I see."

Chara: "Your clothes are a bit big on me I had to make some adjustments."

Y/n: "It's fine, do you have your old clothes so I could dry them."

Chara: "Is it alright if I put them in there myself."

Y/n: "Oh I'm so sorry, go ahead door next to the bathroom on the left." I am left beyond embarrassed that I would say something like that.

Y/n: "Better make myself some tea."

I walk toward my kitchen and open several cabinets only to find no tea.

Chara: "Hey Y/n I started the dryer with our clothes. Hey, are you ok?"

Y/n: "Depression is all I feel, no more tea is left to fill my empty stomach"

Chara looks into the same cabinet and sees multiple boxes of Hot chocolate inside.

Chara: "Well there's plenty of hot cocoa packets why don't you make one of those for us."

Y/n: "You're right, I'll have to find something else to fill the void in my stomach."

I grab the box of hot cocoa and start brewing water. I take a seat on the counter and so does Chara. Chara gets a phone call soon after.

Chara: "Hello, hey Mom, I'm at Y/n's house because it was raining while we were on our way home, yeah I guess I can stay the night, ok goodnight Mom."

Y/n: "I assume that was Toriel."

Chara: "Yeah she was wondering where I was after she got home, she told me to stay the night because the rain is too harsh to drive in right now."

Y/n: "Sleepover then I guess."

Chara: "Is it alright with you."

Y/n: "Of course, after what we both went through tonight I think it's the least I can do."
