Chapter 16 Chaotic Homework Session

Y/n P.O.V.

After I knocked on the door I heard some banter from inside. Just a few seconds later the lock was unlocked and the door opened showing Chara.

Chara: "Oh hey Y/n you're finally here."

Y/n: "Yeah sorry I took a while."

Chara: "It's alright, just come in."

I come in and smell the waft of food being made. I walk into the kitchen to see Toriel cooking. Toriel notices me walk into the kitchen and greets me.

Toriel: "Hello Y/n how have you been."

Y/n: "I've been good Toriel, how have you been."

Toriel: "I have been a tad bit stressed about dinner, we're supposed to have guests over tonight."

Y/n: "Really? Should I be here tonight then?"

Toriel: "Didn't Chara invite you?"

Y/n: "She invited me to help with homework, not for din-"

Chara then walks into the kitchen and then drags me out.

Chara: "Alright Mom we'll be doing homework until dinner."

I turn to Chara after we enter her room Chara slowly closes the door right after we enter.

Y/n: "Chara."

Chara: "Yes?"

Y/n: "If you wanted me over for dinner you could have said so."

Chara: "Huh no it's because I forgot about guests coming over and I wanted to finish that project."

Y/n: "Right.... Let's get started on that project then."

Chara takes a seat on her bed while I sit on her desk chair nearby. Every time she was having trouble with her side of the work I'd glance over and help her until she got the hang of it. However, every few minutes I could have sworn she was looking at me. After an hour we had finished the project but still had math homework to do.

Chara: "Why does our school have to hand out homework on weekends."

Chara sounded irritated so I tried to find a way to calm her down.

Y/n: "I have no clue but I wanna take a break, you down?"

Chara: "Sure what do you wanna do?"

Y/n: "Just talk we can't do anything else anyways."

Chara: "Ok well how's everything been going for you."

Y/n: "Pretty ok other than that pretty bad fight we got into, and even then we're fine and no one knows it's happened, other than people who watch Ebbot news"

Chara: "What was that?"

Y/n: "Nothing."

Chara: "You better tell me right now."

Y/n: "Or else what?"

Chara had grabbed a pillow but did it Menacingly.

Y/n: "Hold on hold on before you kill me let me tell you something."

Chara: "And what is that?"

Y/n: "Always keep your guard up"

Before Chara could react I grabbed a pillow and threw it at her. It blinded her and she runs in the last direction she saw me, swinging her pillow wildly in front of her. And I simply sidestepped her letting her run into the desk. Chara takes the pillow off her face and throws it at my face. Afterward, she tackles me and pins me to the wall. She let her face get closer than I thought barely six inches away from my face.
