-A message from [Name] to the mine monster

And they ran back to the silent woods and yet the monster followed. "How did it manage to get out from under all those cauldrons?" Ace exclaimed confused.
"Sheer determination and rage," [Name] said nonchalantly. The monster huffed,
"GIIIVE...IITT gah...BAAAAaaACCCcCKKKK!!"
"Guuuuys! It's catching up!!" [Name] let out a groan. Deuce, Ace, and Grim looked over at the female.
"I'm tired of running. I'm getting rid of this thing." [Name] passed the magic crystal to Deuce and took a few steps closer to the monster. She looked over her shoulder, "I advise you to take ten steps back." They watched the stitched female remove both of her gloves and safely tucked them away. They watched as the large screw appeared to sport out of her head. Click click click. The sound over and over as she moved the object; not stopping until she was satisfied.

[E/c] eyes snapped open to stare at the monster before they disappeared in a flash. The sound of buzzing caught the attention of the monster as it looked behind it. Two hands placed on the back of the monster sent hundreds of Gigawatts flowing through the monster's body causing it to screech out in pain. Again but from a different angle. Again, but this time the monster swung at the girl only to be blocked by the pole of the bladed weapon. A diagonal swing cut the monster and set it off balance and allowing the girl to disappear once again.

Again and again and again. The girl and the monster exchanged attacks until she deemed she had her fun. She settled on the ground and then jumped high into the air; the action caused the ground below to crack just slightly.

From her spot in the air, in front of the moon, [name] looked down at the monster. Their eyes seemed to glow a dangerous glint. The monster's mind screened for it to move but it stood frozen in place. [Name]'s body spun along with their weapon as gravity brought her down. The blade sliced through the monster's body like a hot knife through butter. The monster fell back without a sound before it poofed, leaving nothing but a large puddle of ink.

Jaws. Dropped. Eyes. Wide. Pants. Pissed. Hotel. Trivago
"What...." "The..." "Fuck..." Two is in shock on in awe.
"That was so cool! Scary but cool!" Grim exclaimed as he ran up to [Name] who unsummoned their scythe. Ace looked over to Deuce,
"Remind me not to get on her bad side," Deuce looked over at him.
"Noted."

"We did it!" "Y-yeah! High-Five!" "Yeah Victory High-Five!" [Name] watched amused at how they could go from not even wanting to be within six feet of each other to acting like two children who had persuaded the other's parental figure to allow them to stay over for a sleepover.
"Look like someone's made friends." Instantly every one of them stepped away from the other.
"A-Absolutely not," Deuce stuttered out.
"Ahem! Y-yeah, yeah! Stop being such a weirdo." Ace said.
"W-we won thanks to my genius! Not some power of friendship garbage!" Deuce chuckled, Ace shook his head gently, and [Name] rolled her eyes, unamused clearly. MLP would be very disappointed. Jokes on them! This 'Power of Friendship' garbage is some of the strong plot armor to exist.
"I guess making excuses is pretty lame. Don't tell anyone I said this, but we won thanks to your plan," Ace said as he scratch the back of his head. Deuce nodded in agreement,
"True...We got the magic crystal because you kept a clear head. We can prevent our expulsion because of you. I'm so relieved."

[Name] scoffed lightly, "alright enough of the sappy shit. Let's get back to the Crow man."

"Right. Let's go home" That was a unanimous agreement until a glint caught Grim's eye.
"Hey, what are those?" Everyone looked over to where the little monster pointed. There was a gem pitch black like coal and a faded dark grey floating sphere.
"Is the gem a magic crystal or perhaps they're remnants of the monster?" Deuce guessed. [Name] stared at the glowing object floating in the middle of a large puddle of ink the monster had left. Grim sniffed the gem,
"This thing smells...really good!" Ace looked at Grim with a disgusted look,
"No way!" Grim picked up the black gem as he drooled.
"This has to be candy the monster was hiding! Oooohh I'm so hungry, just a teensy taste." Grim them proceeded to eat the entire crystal. Yay!
"I'm going to be sick. [Name] get your pet." However, [Name] was too enamored with the floating object to understand the commotion going on because Grim ate some random crystal object that Grim had eaten. "[Name]?" Both Deuce and Grim looked over to the girl who stared at the floating object.
Deuce went over to [name]'s side, "Do you know what it is?" Once again [Name] said nothing.

Then [Name] walked toward the floating object, "[Name] I don't think you should be touching that," Deuce said. [Name] paid him no mind and reached for the dark-colored object. A gloved hand wrapped around it; feeling how it pulsed like a still-beating heart. She could feel the power it held. The aura, pure emotion, and magic that made it up. Is this what the souls of this world felt like?

"[Name]," the voice of Deuce brought the [e/c] eyed girl back to reality. She hummed. "What are you going to do with that?" [Name] stared at the object...no...a soul. She stared at the soul, so dark in color, and did what any person would do.

She ate it.

The soul was nothing out of the ordinary. Flavorless like all the rest. However, it didn't feel as crunchy as the souls she had gotten used to consuming. It felt smooth going down yet for some reason had a slight shiver of the cold. Then a wave of things came crashing across her system. It felt odd. But not in a bad way. Almost like how you imagine upgrading a skill in a video game would feel. It was slightly addicting.

[Name] flexed their hands. This must be what the souls of this world feel like. A...complex...emotion flashed across [e/c] hues. Such a delightfully unique thing. She begins to wonder what the witch souls feel like.

[Name] turned back to the three who stared, "Let's go. We are on a deadline."

A lone crow soars through the night sky in search of its partner.
The cawing of the lone crow does not fall upon deaf ears.
The partner hears.
They are just too far away.
But not for long.
For there is always a way.
