Part 5 ~ movie night

That evening you had completely forgotten it was movie night with the team. You only remembered when wanda knocked on your door "y/n, your still coming to movie night aren't you?" You almost fall off your bed the speed you get up at. You loved movie nights with the team, you usually get excited for them, it was finally your turn to choose the movie, and you had managed to completely forget! You mind had been a little preoccupied recently.

You don't bother getting changed, you practically sprinted to your door and said "Oh my gosh i don't know how i managed to forget?!" Wanda smirks at you "well your mind has been busy recently". What did that mean- oh god.

"YOU READ MY MIND WITHOUT PERMISSION?!" She looks slightly guilty as she tries to defend herself "look I'm sorry okay you've just seemed ... different since that party, and you wouldn't speak to anyone about it, even nat! Im sorry y/n i wanted to make sure you were okay"

You sigh "okay I'm sorry for snapping but next time please talk to me about your concerns instead of ... that." She smiles guilty "yeah sorry". as your walking through the compound, your curiosity gets the better of you, "what exactly do you know?" She smirks at you again "that you have the biggest crush on barnes"

You look at her, and try to look confused "no I do not!" She just raises an eyebrow at you, then laughs at your frown. As you get out of the elevator, the whole team is waiting for you, with popcorn and fizzy drinks.

"So what are you going to make us watch this time" Tomy said ready to set the movie up. You decide to watch (you can choose!) and of course Barnes found something about the movie to complain about, but you just rolled your eyes and ignored him.

You actually ended up sat between him an Nat, and you found yourself smiling when you noticed he looked like he was secretly enjoying the movie.

Bucky suddenly feels warm, soft skin against him. You had fallen asleep an ended up your head rested against his shoulder. He looks at you peacefully sleeping and smiles to himself, but he was caught by Nat who had the biggest grin on her face watching you both, and he turned away.

At the end of the movie, Nat goes to wake you up but Bucky shushes her. "She's barely slept I've heard her awake through the nights recently, I'll carry her to her room". Nat smiles "okay! Just make Sure you put her in her bed or don't accidentally fall asleep next to her". Bucky gives her a death stare but she quickly turned around to go to bed herself, before he could say anything in response.

Being as gentle as possible, he picks you up (bridal style), and gets into the elevator. You start to wake, however still being half asleep and not wanting to move, you stay where you are. You didn't know who was carrying you, however his solid chest and muscular arms made you feel safe. As you were carefully planted into your bed, the mystery man pulled the covers over you. You were curious to who it was, but didn't want to give yourself away so you kept your eyes closed.

Suddenly he lent over you and gives you a gentle kiss on the head. Crap. You had butterflies and you were pretty sure you stopped breathing. Who was it?! As if you had spoken out loud, the mystery guy spoke, and you instantly knew exactly who he was, but that only left you even more confused.

"Goodnight Doll" he whispered into your ear. That voice, you knew it well by now. But why would he do that? You heard your door close, but you didn't move, you just lay there in awe.

Why would Bucky carry you up to bed? And why would he then tuck you in, and kiss you?! You were confused at his words too, and they were repeating in your head "goodnight doll". His voice was soothing, calm, and had your stomach in knots. As he'd carried you, his touch was soft and gentle, despite his rock solid muscles. You had never felt more safe, than right there in his arms. You wanted to stay there, in his arms forever. That was when you knew, you wanted him.

You wanted to kiss him, to feel him. You wanted him to hold you. You wanted him to assure you everything was okay when you were down. You wanted to wake up next to him every morning. You wanted to hear his voice, see his warm smile, every day. You wanted him, and when you want something, you don't give up very easily.
