You woke up to the sun shining through the thin curtains. As you did, you slowly began to recall what happened the night before. You actually had to open your eyes and sit there in awe of the view next to you for a few seconds before you believed it wasn't a dream.

You noticed bucky was already awake - with soft, fluffy bedhead may I add. "Morning", he said grogily, flashing a heart warming smile down at you. "H-hi", dang it you stuttered. Stupid, adorable, incredibly good looking super soldier with an amazingly cute sleepy face.

Just then, a nurse walked in with breakfast. You quickly maneuvered yourself off of Bucky, and attempted to compose yourself. Bucky sat back on the chair next to your bed, and seemed to be watching you intently.

The nurse took the IV out of your hand, and let you know that you could leave after you had eaten some breakfast. She then turned to Bucky "would you like anything?", she asked politely. "No thank you" Bucky said returning the polite tone. She turned back to you. "It was nice of your boyfriend to stay with you for the night". Bucky chuckled at her little assumption, but neither of you corrected her.

You felt the blush you knew was coming creep up to heat your face. "Oh um... Yeah". She then placed a plate next to you, with two slices of toast on it, smiled at you again, and walked out leaving you in silence with Bucky. You didn't know what to say.

"Boyfriend huh?", he said teasingly, breaking the silence. You just dramatically rolled your eyes, however he decided to push it further. "You didn't deny it", he smirked. You flipped him off and grabbed a slice of the toast, insisting Bucky have the other piece. After breakfast, you got ready to leave and head home to the compound.

On your way out, Bucky got the door for you. "Let your boyfriend get the door for you y/n", he said sarcasticly, putting emphasis on the word boyfriend. You gave him a weak punch to the arm on your way past (knowing it wouldn't hurt him) but he rubbed it and acted really hurt anyway making you giggle.

Well it was definitely Steve's car alright. "It's even more ancient than you and him put together?!".
"Hey", he said slightly offended. "Seriously though, how old is this?", you rhetorically asked, as Bucky opened the passenger door for you. He hadn't let you open any doors - he's such a gentleman.

The drive home was nice, and you were suddenly thankful the car was so old and slow; it meant you had more alone time with Bucky. You talked about some of the stupidest arguments you'd had with him, like that time you were in the common room reading, and stormed out after saying you couldn't concentrate because he was breathing too loud. Looking back on it, he probably was the reason you couldn't concentrate, but not because of his breathing...

You were doing most of the talking, but you didn't mind, it was helping him with his memories which was good. He has been shown everything by Wanda, but it still doesn't feel like memories, kind of like it all happened to someone else and he just knows every little detail.

When the two of you pulled up outside the compound, you realised you must have been seen on the cameras, because Nat and Steve came running. The second you stepped out of the car, you were pulled into a bear hug from Nat. Steve gave Bucky a 'bro hug', making you smile watching them. He wouldn't have always done that, you knew socializing and physical contact were hard for him, and you were so proud of the progress he's made. You always admired him for that, even when you did 'hate him'.

"Sooooo get something nice on, Tony's planned you a welcome home party for tonight!", Nat said excitedly. "A party?", you asked with slight less enthusiasm but trying your best to sound at least a little excited; you didn't wanna sound ungrateful, you just didn't like the idea of a crowd and lots of attention.
