It was just few minutes after 11pm and he was so tired. But he had to say something.

"I still don't know what happened here today, but I can tell you that the Avengers are dead, along with the criminals they were fighting. The city has to remain strong and-"

The whole world suddenly fell to black and Peter could hear a heart monitor. He quickly opened his eyes. Did he pass out? He knew he was tired but not that tired. Maybe it was an after effect of the bullet? His adrenaline probably wore off, right? Then his rapid thoughts were all silenced when he looked around the room and recognized the lab. Most importantly, the thing that left Peter speechless was that Tony, Steve and Bruce all sleeping in chairs nearby. Peter glanced at his watch which read 9:30 am. His shoulder felt soar again but Peter just looked back at the Avengers so happy to see them alive yet unsure how it was even possible.

Steve woke up and smiled. He was happy to see Peter up and looking at him. Only thing that was weird was that Peter had tears in his eyes.

"Peter." Steve said, his brow furrowed with concern as a thought crossed his mind. Was Peter crying because he was in pain? "Are you alright?" Peter shook his head and Steve nudged Tony before walking over to the kid. "What's wrong?" Steve asked, placing a hand on Peter's good shoulder.

"What happened?" Peter asked, still overwhelmed to see his friends and mentor alive. Tony woke up with a grin at seeing peter sitting up but his face turned to concern after a look from Cap.

"You were shot, don't you remember?" Steve said, as Tony walked over. Peter shook his head, he had to be dreaming this. It was too similar to the morning.

"Yeah." Peter responded. He had to be dreaming, he thought again. "How are you alive?" he asked. Deciding to silence his crazy impossible thoughts. Tony and Steve exchanged a worried look as Bruce walked past them to stare at Peter's tests again.

"Just cause you get shot doesn't mean we all do." Tony tried to joke but Peter could tell he was trying to hide his fear.

"But the explosion." Peter said, only to see that no one knew what he was talking about. Peter put his head in his hands, was all of it not real, was that the dream or was he dreaming now?

"What are you talking about Pete?" Tony asked, looking at Bruce for some type of answer. Peter saw Bruce shake his head and Peter laid back down on his cot. Peter took a couple deep breaths, keeping his eyes closed, scared that if he opened them again Tony, Steve, and Bruce would be gone.

"Is this-" Peter paused, he knew it was a stupid question and it wouldn't really change anything. "Is this real?" he asked and he can feel the tension in the room.

"What do you mean Peter, of course this is real." Bruce said and Peter sighed again, shaking his head. "What's wrong?" Bruce demanded, needing answers now. Peter sat up and ran a hand through his hair.

"Kid?" Tony asked, worried something was seriously wrong with Peter.

"Nothing Mr Stark, just a weird dream." Peter replied. Steve met Tony's eyes, they felt like Peter was lying to them. Bruce knew that there was something Peter wasn't saying as well but he still wanted Peter on bed rest for the day and so Peter started his homework from scratch again. Whatever had happened, it must have been a nightmare.

Peter still couldn't seem to shake his nightmare. It felt so real, everything seemed to be happening the same, he felt like he was going crazy. Bruce noticed that Peter was acting weird, he wasn't able to focus which was unusual for him. Bruce kept asking if something was wrong but Peter was only insisting that he was alright. The day was so similar to his dream, but that was impossible. Later after lunch Peter was trying to work when he got an odd feeling, looking up he saw Scott walk into the room. Peter sighed, shaking his head.
