Pretend Annabeth's dead for this please 🙏. and that no one liked her

"She's gone," he cried. You sat in Cabin 3 with your beast friend. Annabeth had died and Percy was sobbing. It was hard seeing him like this, but you always had feelings for the son of Poseidon.

"I know," you rubbed his back, "it sucks."

"How could the Gods do this to me?"

You shrugged in response which might not have been appropriate in this situation, but you were always jealous of her and knew how many people didn't like her, but they were scared of her.

"I liked her so much and I never got to tell her how I feel."

Your heart was crushed. She wasn't good for him. She was a control freak who didn't like it when things didn't go her way. Everyone except for Percy knew that you had a crush on him, even Annabeth. She would flaunt about how he likes her and how amazing she was.

You really wanted to punch her.

"Y/N, what am I gonna do?" He rested his head in your lap.

"You're going to see the truth," you whispered.

Percy raised an eyebrow in response.

"How could you not see how she treated everyone? How she acted? Percy, you are the most biggest airhead ever because everyone here has a crush on you, including me, but you were too focused on that blond to realize that she was draining you!"

He sat up and turned to you. "You have a crush on me?"

You groaned, "Yes! And I have for awhile now. Everyone except you could see that, Percy. But I know you wouldn't ever feel the same way. The thing that hurt me the most was seeing you go for Annabeth. You can get someone who treats you and others better than that."

He nodded. "I-"

"I have to go." And with that you left the cabin. You knew he wasn't going to admit he had feelings for you all along because this isn't some cheesy romance story. This is real.

* couple months later*

Percy had been spending a lot of awful time with you, but you just thought it was because you were friends. You had forgotten about the day Annabeth had died and how you admitted your feelings.

Everyone told you he had a crush on you, but obviously that wasn't true. He was your best friend and best friends hang out with each other a lot.

You didn't get the message until you were at the beach and the goof finally kissed you.

Percy grabbed your face and kissed you. It stunned you for a moment because your brain was short-circuting, but you kissed back, pouring all of your feelings into his lips.

Once he pulled away, he said, "I am so stupid."

You laughed and nodded. "You really are." You kissed him again and it was the best day ever.
