Chapter 72

~BB's POV~

I went back to the dark place with the Balloon Children. As much as I didn't want to, I knew that this is what I'm needed for. And I have to do it.

Even if it's the last thing I'll ever do.

I was soon greeted by a host of kind faces. Kind, unwanted faces.

"Welcome back. I see you are completing your destiny." JJ said.

"How do you know that?"

"We are the Balloon Children. We know everyone's destinies. Especially yours."

"Then why can't you tell me everything? Why can't you tell me when I will join you?"

"You will understand one day. Now, onward with your quest."

I walked through the crowd of depression Balloon Children, very cautious about looking into their gaze, and looked for the balloon the boy told me about.

I just want to figure out my future. I need to know when I'll leave.

I found the room I was looking for. It had a shining balloon that rapidly changed colors.

"It's beautiful."

I stared endlessly at the balloon. I was only interrupted by a small noise.

It sounded like a child softly crying.

"Where are you?" I looked around, trying to help. "I can help, I promise."

"Yes. You can. That's what you're needed for. In time, young BB, you will do what you're truly needed for."

I turned to the sound of JJ's voice, but she was gone.

I collected the colorful balloon and found myself outside of the poster.

Finally. I understand perfectly.

I made my way back to the room where everybody was.

"Good. You got the balloon. Do you have some others?"

I pulled out extra balloons that I had picked up from the poster.

"Perfect. Now, Mangle. These are for you."

The boy gave Mangle the balloons and directed her over to a poster.

"Now, I need you to get something in there."

"Like what?"

"A cake."

"Why would I need a cake."

"Just trust me on this one. Now, follow this path, onto..."

I stopped listening to the conversation, when I noticed Payton and Maddie hugging.

"I see you found each other." I said.

"Yeah. I thought Maddie was gone forever."

"I'm right here, Payton. And I will never leave again."

I turned at the sound of Toy Bonnie walking in.

"Did you find him?" The boy asked.

Toy Bonnie quietly nodded.

At the same time, a creepy rabbit walked in. Everyone stayed silent.

"Now that everybody's here, we will complete our plan. Everybody just sit tight until you're needed. Now, Mangle. Let's continue our discussion."

We all stayed dead silent while the rabbit scoped us out.

After a while, Mangle was on her way to the poster.

"You understand the plan?"

"Yep. Time to save Foxy."
