New Year, New Plans

Sup' everyone! Back again with another chapter in this here random book, which I haven't actually updated in quite a while. Pretty sure this is chapter one-hundred-and-seventy-something, meaning that after like 6 years, I'll soon have to finally close this one and put it in a box somewhere. Got around 30 more chapters before this book is filled up, though. Thinking about it... that actually could take a while.

Anyway!

I'm coming at you here from 2023, so I really just wanted to make this chapter to say... hey, happy new year ^^

I'm currently 32 minutes into the new year here in the UK, so I know it'll be a few hours before y'all on the America side of the planet will be celebrating. Still, I wanted to wish everyone a happy 2023.

Been a busy year - started with Putin invading Ukraine, ended with Andrew Tate getting arrested thanks to Twitter, a teenage climate activist and a pizza box. I think that speaks for itself, honestly.

Yeah, obviously 2022 hasn't been full of great stuff. The war in Ukraine is absolutely awful and unfortunately still ongoing, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. For now, the best thing I can do is keep on doing what I love, which is creating stories and content that (hopefully) brings some smiles to people's faces across the world.

...On that note!

I've been really busy this year, particularly in the past couple of months I've been hard at work on Rebellion again. For anyone who hasn't read it yet, I did upload a new chapter for the story just a couple of weeks ago, soooo go ahead and take a look if you haven't already!

Not only that, I've been working as hard as I can on the next chapter over Christmas as well - I only paused in writing it because New Year's was like 5 minutes away, so I put the pen down to watch the fireworks for a bit. Gonna get right back to it when I'm done with this random chapter too. Having a lot of fun with it! I'm like, just over 4200 words into the chapter so far I think. Halfway? I hope...

Anyway yeah, I'm reaaaally hoping to publish that this week, so keep an eye out for that!

But yeah, 2022 has been an eventful and busy year for me personally. I'll spare you the details, but there is one piece of news I wanted to share with you guys which I don't think I've talked about yet!

I've been doing it for a few months at this point, but I'm actually working as a freelance writer now! Even better than that, I'm contracted to be writing about video games. So, my professional job is quite literally to write about games, which is like... I was born for this. I've written a ton of stuff about Pokemon, particularly stuff covering Scarlet and Violet since they released. But yeah, I'm loving every minute of it. Finally getting a bit more settled into it now.

As for my plans for 2023? Weeellll, I'll give you the short version since I'm already at 500 words here.

I'm gonna be upgrading my PC soon at last, got a bunch of the parts sat right here next to me actually. Waiting for the new Radeon cards to actually be in stock for more than 5 minutes, and I'm still deciding on a new case to buy. Why is any of this important? Well, mainly because I'm absolutely aiming to get back to streaming and making videos again this year, and a proper hardware upgrade is gonna be pretty important for that. So yeah, give it a few months and you guys will be able to listen to my beautiful voice again while I sit and play games. Heh.

There's a lot that's gonna be going on for me this year, but in terms of creative projects - well, I do have some news on that front! Like I've said, I'm planning to (FINALLY) finish Rebellion in... well, hopefully January, but it'll probably be February knowing me. I'm in no short supply of stories to work on after it too, so don't panic about that. Been holding onto like 4 or 5 story ideas since 2018.

So yeah, once Rebellion is finished, my next focus... well. I haven't actually decided what my next focus will actually be tbh, only time will tell. What I do know is that I will probably be quite quiet for a few months after it while I get started on my next project, which will either be:

- Rewrites of all my Sun x Lillie stories, including Lillie's Return, Beyond, Rebellion (or at least the first half of it) and eventually Return to Alola and You Are My Sun (For the last time, I didn't name that one myself)

- The next sequel to follow Rebellion

OR

A brand new story which I decided I'm going to make just a couple of weeks ago. I'm not ready to properly announce it yet though! So for now, I'll just announce the announcement for it :P

I'll let you in on a few details for it though. It'll be a Pokemon story - it's gonna be set in the same series as my main series of Pokemon stories - but it'll be following the life of one special and specific character in my stories. It's gonna be awesome, I'm really looking forward to working on it.

Besides that, I still have my first original story planned for what'll probably be late next year, as well as my XCOM story and probably a few others that I'm forgetting, to be honest. Yeah... you'll probably have to wait a while for those.

Yes, that was the short version of my plans for 2023.

So yeah, even after 6 years, I've still got a lot that I'm planning to work on. More than ever, actually. Sorry again about the serious lack of content from me throughout 2022.
