The next week went by in a flash, we watched the new years celebration fireworks out on the balcony and mostly just tried to relax before we had to get ready to go back to the academy. I wasn't ready to have to go back to that place and leave Jaz on her own here again with everything going on, along with not being able to solve much of it with so little time.

Belle and I were just laying on the couch watching a movie when Jaz came running down the stairs with a huge smile on her face. "Hey captain, can we please do something tonight?"

"Like?" I asked, looking up at her and cocking an eyebrow.

"My friends are going to the club tonight. Can we go please?" I looked at Belle who had a huge smile on her face.

"Would the others be able to meet us there?" Belle turned to me asking and I nodded to her. "Then I want to go there too, please Jake?" Belle begged and there was no way I could say no to her.

"Okay, but do I have to drive these friends of yours too?" I asked Jaz and she nodded.

"Please," Jaz begged.

"Are you all going to get drunk?" I asked. I knew Belle probably wouldn't, but still having a car full of drunk girls, especially underage drunk girls didn't sound like a fun time to me.

"Probably not," Jaz said, batting her eyelashes at me and I sighed.

"If you all come back drunk I'm not putting your ass in bed, you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight with your friends." she smiled knowing she got the better of me before running back upstairs to get dressed.

Belle snickered at me, "we both know you wouldn't actually leave her on the couch you're too much of a softy to do that." Then she poked me in the chest with a playful little grin and I smiled at her before tickling her sides making her fall off the couch laughing. Then I picked her up and slung her over my shoulder going upstairs so we could also get dressed.

I just pulled on a pair of black slacks and a dark blue button-up shirt that I rolled the sleeves up on. Leaving the top couple button undone so I was comfortable I was ready and just waited on Belle. She had already texted the group asking if they would meet us there and they all ended up being free so it would be nice to see everyone again.

Belle walked out of the bathroom smelling like her signature vanilla lotion and I grinned at her. She looked incredible with a little black dress that came down a little past mid-thigh, showing off her long legs. It was long-sleeved with a v cut out in the neckline showing off her necklace, her hair flowed around her shoulder, and she had put on a light layer of makeup. She looked gorgeous. She smiled at me taking her in, "do I look good enough?"

"You always look beautiful love," I said, pulling her to me and kissing her soundly.

She giggled, "you always say that."

"Because it's always true." She beamed at me and I loved it.

"Are you two love birds coming? Ari and Lexi are here already," Jaz yelled from downstairs and I rolled my eyes as Belle laughed at me.

"It's not like you can leave without me," I called back and I could hear her sigh from here as Belle laughed even harder. "I haven't met these friends of hers before so I'm not sure how they will be, so just an FYI she likes to get a little out of hand sometimes and her friends are generally the same."

"It's okay, it's not like I'm going to drink, not after last time." She smiled at me, but I still hated that all of that happened to her before.

"I know love," I pressed one more kiss to her lips before taking her hand and leading her to the door.
