Bad One

Ardeyn's POV

" Are you nervous?" Aradhya asked me as we walked towards the courtroom and I chuckled at her worried expression.

" Do not worry about that. It's just another episode of our long-standing feud with Kentworths. Whole nation witnessed how the rivalry grew over the century. It's just another shot on that. It's not a big deal." I said to her and she nodded worriedly.

" Don't you believe Jacob? He will handle everything. No worries." I said to her and she shook her head.

" I do believe in Jacob. He is amazing at his job but I am worried that the Osbournes will play a dirty game. Like dirty dirty game." She said.

" They will not. Even if they do they will not win this time." I said and at the same time we reached the courtroom and we took our seats. Asher was there talking to Jacob. He nodded slightly assuring us that everything was under control.

" Why are you late?" Mom asked me and she was sitting with my aunt Jessica who is my dear cousin Asher's mother as well.

" I was picking Ari up." I said and Mom nodded. I sat next to Aunt Jessica and Ari walked towards Asher.

" I am literally surprised to see you here, Jessica Milverton." I joked and she glared at me.

" I am going to crash the Kentworths. How dare they?" She clenched her fists.

I chuckled. The Northscotts blood is running through her veins. Before marrying my uncle Erick Milverton and being Asher's mother she is a Northscott. It is clear that she is very annoyed by their actions.

There is an interesting story about uncle Erick and aunt Jessica. Uncle Erick is my maternal uncle. As Northscotts and Milverton are allies for centuries the kids were introduced to each other in their childhood. So, Aunt Jessica is the best friend of my mother since they were kids and my mother was engaged to my father from long back as well. But uncle Erick and aunt Jessica were never attracted to each other. They both tried dating someone else before they become a couple. The girl uncle Erick was dating that time found out to be a golddigger and Aunt Jessica's man also broke her heart by cheating on her. They kinda were together because both of them were tired of dealing fake people and their family didn't waste much to get them engaged. It was like another set of kids getting married means strengthening the bond between two families even more for them at first but it worked. Though this was a rush decision but turned out to be the best one. They are happily married for 20 years now still in so much love with each other and have Asher as their heir. They are perfect definition of power couple.

" Calm down, Jess." My father said and got a glare from his sister.

" How can I calm down, Austin? They literally accused my nephew of something absurd!!! What are they thinking when accusing our family? Just what? Are they out of their mind?" Aunt Jessica gritted. I sighed inwardly.

" It's okay, Honey. They are not going to get with what they want." Uncle Erick said as he sat next to his wife. But she did not calm down.

" Everything will be okay, Jess. Don't worry." My mother said.

" Thank God. We are on time." I found Ari's mother entertaining the courtroom with Melanie and Ari's father Mr. Malhotra.

I sighed deeply. Why are they all here? It's not a big deal!!! Northscotts will win this case anyways. Kentworths and Osbournes don't have any concrete evidence against me. I am sure the girls would also be here if they were in town. They have gone to Bern this morning for a concert. Ari will leave as well once the trial ends.

" Elezabeth!!" Melanie sat next to my mother. "Everything will be okay." She tried to comfort my mother.

" It has to be." Mom said.

Soon after that the trial started and it was very clear that we were going to win. Jacob did not have to do much about the case. It was easy to win. Once Mia's truth came to light Damian started to get mad at us. I sighed deeply. Kentworths are really crazy people. He witnessed it with his very own eyes but still is denying the facts that Mia had really cheated on him. In fact, she was pregnant with someone else's child when she died. Just because she is dead the baby's father got out of reach. Otherwise, the culprit would have been caught red-handed. Anyways, it got sorted in awhile. Though the lawyer of the opposition was trying to figure out some meaningless points which were handled by Jacob very smartly. He is trustworthy. He knows very well what he is doing. The case was closed and I took a sigh of relief. Meaningless things from Kentworths can be understood but why Osbournes joined them. They were not like so close to Cassius. What was their intention with picking a fight with the Northscotts?! How foolish step it was to be in a feud with Northscotts when they are just here to expand their business in the UK.

" We won." Ari said as she side hugged me.

I chuckled and patted her head. Then she walked towards Asher who was talking to Jacob. Once she reached there Jacob wrapped his arm around her and glared at the assistant of the opposition lawyer who was not able to take his eyes off of Ari. I think he is a fan of the Drama Queens.

" Kentworths should thank me this time. I was going to ruin them if this was going to be messed up." Aunt Jessy said and I wrapped my arm around her.

" Calm down, Jessica Milverton. You will have a BP shoot." I said and she rolled her eyes before leaning on me.

Everything was wrapped in awhile and we were walking out of the courtroom when suddenly Damian appeared out of nowhere. He dragged Asher by his collar and I ran towards them to stop him but it was too late. Damian already threw his fist on Asher which he could dodge in the last moment.

" Damian!!! Are you out of your mind?" I tried to pull Asher out of his grip but he was not ready to let go.

" I will kill you, Milverton. How dare you drag Mia's matter in the courtroom?" He started to throw punches again but the securities approached us and pulled him away.

" I warned you before, Damian. You didn't pay heed to my request when dragged Ardeyn to the courtroom first. And you are welcome to try to kill me, Damian. I take your challenge. Try me." Asher said and I was shocked. How courage had it taken to shallow his pride to request Kentworths to withdraw the case!!! He did it for me?!! Of course, he did.

" Just wait and watch, Milverton. Wait for me." This was Damian's last words before being pulled out of the sight by the Kentworths securities.

But as I said it was already late because the paparazzi and media were all over there to cover the the feud between Northscotts and Kentworths and they already had what they were looking for just because of Damian's emotional breakdown that has lead him to lose his temper and create a mess. It was a big bad one.
