A Big Price

Juliet's POV

" Don't you have works today, Kentworth? Your producer Lenna was searching for you." I heard Ardeyn saying but I ignored him.

" Let her. I am not going to studio today. I am going to stay with you and enjoy the drive." I said and he rolled his eyes.

" You are getting too much attached with me, Kentworth. It can effect your work. Focus on your work. No matter how you try to say that you are moving to the new apartment for your work but I know that very well you are moving to the apartment so that you can see me whenever you want." He said to me and I rolled my eyes looking out of the window.

" I am moving to the apartment because I feel suffocated at home. Everyone tries to create pressure on me to do what they want what I hate the most." I said to him.

" That's not the only reason. Is it?" He asked me.

" If I stay at home I have to see that Drew guy often. I want to concentrate on my work and I really don't have any interest in marriage. So, marrying him is not happening now or ever. That's simple thing my family doesn't want to understand. They think one day I will agree to marry him. When I am not interested why are they forcing me to do so??! Just why?" I asked him.

" Relax!!! No one can make you marry someone against your will. I have told you before. Why are you freaking out now? Can you live without your family? Are you that grown up already? You are not that matured to take care of yourself alone, Juliet. You have to agree with that." He said.

" You are saying that I should stay at that place and die of suffocation?" I asked him and he rolled his eyes.

" I was just talking about that fact. Your parents have promised you to give you a comfortable environment of working just like you want for your work. I think you should try to cooperate with them for now. If that didn't work for you then you can think about move on to your apartment. What do you think? If you move to the apartment you can take care of yourself alone? I don't think so." He said to me.

" I was just thinking about something else." I said to him and arrange the words in my brain.

" Thinking about what?" He asked me as his eyes was fixed on the road. I knew he would react about it weirdly.

" You can come and stay with me sometimes." I said to him and he looked at me with the corner of his eyes.

" Will you believe it if I tell you I knew it already when you bought that apartment? I knew what your intentions were." He said to me.

" So, will you?" I asked him.

" Definitely no. A big fat no. Are you crazy, Juliet? You are making it more complicated. Your father will sue me if he sees me around you and you are saying to stay with you? Impossible. You must be possessed by evil." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" You are overreacting about this. My father will never ever do such a thing. He is not crazy." I said to him.

" You don't have any idea how extend he can go for this." He said.

" Look, Aunt Lia and uncle Fabian have also gotten married. Has he done anything to them?" I asked him.

" Uncle Fabian and Aunt Lia left home forever that's why it was possible but I can't leave my parents ever. Not for anyone. No matter how hard it is for me. I can't leave home." He said and I sighed deeply.

" Ok. No one is telling you to leave home, Ardeyn. I am already 19 and I can take my own decisions. No one can force me to do anything. It's depends on me what I want to do." I said and he sighed deeply.

" I don't have any idea what your family will react when they will know about us. I know they will make a mess. You should be mentally prepared for that." He said and I chuckled.

" I am always mentally prepared for that. I know that there will be a big mess when this will come to light." I said to him.

" I think the long drive is actually just an excuse, you came with me to convince me with your weird idea." He said to me and I rolled my eyes.

" Can't I wish to spend some private time with you? You always keep blaming me." I said trying to make a innocent face but he rolled his eyes.

" Innocence doesn't suit you, Kentworth. You are true evil." He said shaking his head.

" Yes, innocence suits you." I said to him and he chuckled.

I found he was driving going toward our place. Well, I love that place in that countryside. Peaceful and quiet. I go to there with the girls sometimes to have a peaceful environment to work. We have a cabin there to stay at night if it's needed.

" Are we going there?" I asked him.

" It's Ms. Martha's birthday today. Lenna called you to invite you on the birthday party this morning. Ari texted me awhile back. She tried to contact you but your phone is switched off. They are already there." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" I wanted to spend some private time with you." I said and he rolled his eyes.

" You don't want to join the party of Ms. Martha?" He asked me and I glared at him.

Ms. Martha is Lenna's mother. She is a sweet lady with a soft smile on her face all the time. She lives in the countryside. Lenna asked her several times to move in with her but Ms. Martha doesn't want to live in the crowded city. She wants to live in the countryside peacefully. The car stopped before Ms. Martha's luxurious victorian mansion. I found the girls are already there.

" I think our relationship is turning you into an unsocial person. You are forgetting there is a world other than me. It's going to make you pay a big price for that, Juliet." Ardeyn's word made me looked at him weirdly. A big price?!! What did he mean by ' a big price'?
