It is New Year's Eve in Paris and the snow didn't stop falling but the sun was out more. You were awakened by the sound of the neighbours speaking to each other from across their front porches, again.

You sat up and yawned, luckily it was still winter holidays, but it was almost over and soon you would have to start going to uni again.
You rubbed your head and looked beside you to see that Claude was not there, which was odd since you normally always woke up before him.
You looked at the clock and saw that it was 10:30am, you gasped since you don't normally sleep in that much, you got out of the bed, it was freezing, for some reason Claude thought it was necessary to leave the window wide open.
You went to the bathroom and turned on the shower, you got a towel from the cabinet under the sink and hung it on the rack, you got undressed while looking at yourself in the mirror.

After you got fully undressed you took your hair out of its ponytail and stepped in the shower. It was warm, you just stood under the water for a bit, feeling the warm water wet your back and hair. You then started to shampoo and condition your hair, after you finished washing your hair thoroughly you started washing your body, you were humming to yourself until you heard a knock at the door. You jumped a bit at the unexpected noise "yes?" You yelled out "I'm sorry to bother you Mademoiselle but Monsieur Frollo is calling for you downstairs" you could tell by her voice that it was Laverne, a loved nannie of Claude's. "Alright, tell him I'll be down in a bit" she left and you continued to wash yourself, but a bit faster.

After a few minutes you turned off the water and jumped out of the shower. You quickly dried yourself off and got dressed, you wore some comfy white shorts and a matching tank top, you put a plush bath robe over it so you would be warm. You walked downstairs while drying your hair off with the towel, you looked around for Claude and found him in his office, typing away at his computer. When he saw you walk in he smiled and got up from his chair and walked up to you, he gave you a small kiss "good morning dear, how did you sleep?" He asked as he held your waist, you held the towel in your arms, your hair still a bit wet "I slept good, besides the cold, you?" He smiled "I slept good too, you slept in today, that's surprising" you smirked "yeah well I think we both know why, you tired me out last night" he raised his eyebrow and smirked "yeah well what can I say?" .

You chuckled "Laverne told me you needed me? What is it?" He cleared his throat "oh right, my work partners that you met at the church want to go out for dinner tonight for new years, and I invited them over for wine afterwards, are you alright with that?" You tilted your head a bit "you want me to come?" He looked taken-aback "What kind of question is that dear, of course, Mary will be there so I thought it would be best if you did come anyway." . He said  "Mary's coming? Yeah I'm coming, I like her" he nodded "I'm glad, we'll leave at 7, unfortunately you didn't get to say goodbye to Quasimodo before he went to daycare, and he won't be home until after we leave since the nanny's are taking him grocery shopping" you sighed "aw man, I am glad he's getting to be with other kids Claude, I feel like it's better than homeschooling" he nodded "I agree, luckily there was one with children with special needs like him, or else I wouldn't have been so keen on the idea" you nodded in agreement.

"yeah you're right, by the way where is everyone? Like the Nannie's, I've only seen Laverne?" You said confused "yeah Laverne was the only one that was willing to come today but she should be leaving soon actually" you looked at his desk "I see, and when is that?" He shrugged "she should be leaving in about 10 minutes" you nodded "and when are you finished with your work or whatever you're doing?" He looked back at his computer and then back at you "about 10 minutes aswell, why dear?" you smirked to yourself "oh nothing" you patted his chest "well you should go back to whatever you were doing" you said as you left the room, he looked confused but just shrugged and went back to his desk.
As you were walking out you ran into Laverne, she smiled at you and looked at your towel "may I take this for you?" You nodded and gave it to her "thank you" you said as she nodded and was about to put it in the laundry "Laverne" you said as she looked back at you "yes?" She smiled "why did you come in today if no one else did?" .
