The following morning came fast and you were rushing around the apartment just before sunrise, packing the rest of your things. You were in your room, ensuring you packed everything you needed. As you were ticking off your mental list, Esmeralda walked tiredly to your bedroom door, leaning against the doorway, glancing at you from her squinted eyes. "Can you relax?" the annoyance in her voice was clear, you sighed "I'm sorry, I'm just stressed, I haven't seen my family in years, I need to make a good impression, you know?". She walked into your room and sat on your messy bed that you didn't have time to make, along with your messy room. "What am I supposed to do for 3 days without you?" Esmeralda said with a sigh, you frowned and pat her shoulder "well you have the apartment to yourself, maybe Phoebus can stay over"  you suggested. "Maybe" she replied softly.

After you've packed all of your clothes and necessities, you gave yourself a quick look in the mirror before leaving your room, it started to get warmer in Paris, to the point where you no longer needed to wear a jacket or a hundred layers of clothing, that excited you. Though, you wanted to look presentable and nice to see your family, so you kept your outfit simple.

After studying yourself in the mirror, you brought your bags to the lounge room and waited for Claude's call. Cuddling with Esmeralda on the couch, who was already ready herself to stay at Claude's house and take care of quasi until you came back, she worried for your safety since you would be so far away.  You smiled at her kindness, and after a few minutes of relaxing on the couch, your phone vibrated. Nervous, you picked it up and opened it, the brightness of it hurting your eyes as you sat in the dark loungeroom. You looked at the notification and it read 'Claude', you sighed in relief. Unlocking my phone I read the message he has sent.

Claude🖤: good morning dear, I'm leaving my house now, make sure you are ready by the time I get here, please.

you: good morningg, I'm ready and waiting in my living room, ill come down when you call x

putting your phone down, you sat up, that nervous feeling in your stomach coming back. You sighed to yourself, feeling Esmeralda's hand snake up your back, rubbing it slowly up and down, trying to comfort you.

After a short while, you got the message that Claude was waiting downstairs for you. You kissed Esmeralda's cheeks and hugged her goodbye, she blew you a kiss as you grabbed your bags and walked out the door, she was going to leave shortly after. You rushed to the elevator and pressed the button that led to the lobby. Your heart was pumping nervously in your chest, this was the day you would be at peace, you would see your family, see their smiles, hear their voices, see their faces. As the elevator doors opened, you walked out quickly, seeing clauses black car parked outside the building from the glass doors. You smiled to yourself as you got closer to the exit, pushing the doors open, you saw his face, he looked at you through the closed car window and smiled kindly at you, you returned it. He unlocked the car boot, and you put your bags inside and shut it, you walked to the passenger seat and hopped in. "Good morning my love," he said as he pecked your lips, you do the same. "I've missed you," you said softly, kissing his cheek, he chuckled deeply, his eyes locked with yours "I've missed you too y/n" you smiled at him before speaking again  "Onas should be here soon-".
