Davina had decided to find her own place to stay after the truth had come out about Marcel, as well as knowing that Klaus had wanted her at the compound. Lucky for her, Rebekah had been the one to find her and tell her, and Davina had learned that Rebekah wasn't all that bad unlike her hybrid brother. Rebekah had even allowed Davina to make her own choice, knowing what it felt like to have your choice being taken away. And so, Davina had left the Quarter to go live at her family's cabin. Plus, ever since everything had gone down, she was having problems, so this was the safest place to be at if her magic got out of hand. And so, she'd been at the cabin ever since.
It was a beautiful day, as Klaus and Caroline lay in bed at the compound. After everything they'd gone through, their relationship had changed into something more. Something the blonde had never thought that she ever wanted, nor that she would ever get. All her life, she'd gone after bad boys, but the ones she'd wanted had never wanted her. Then the hybrid had come along and she hadn't wanted him for a long time. She knew from the starts about three-ish years ago though, that they had a connection. She just didn't want to feel that connection, because he'd done terrible things to people that her friends cared about. He'd done awful things. He'd just seen the connection before she had, because she'd hated him for the things he'd done. Now, the one she'd learned to want had chosen her from the start and, after he'd patiently waited for her to be ready for him, they'd finally gotten together with each other.
Later that day, Caroline followed Klaus to the Bayou, having nothing else better to do, and feeling the need like she should participate in whatever plans Klaus had. After all, as Klaus liked to put it, he was the King of the Quarter. And being with Klaus now meant in his terms, she was the Queen. Despite that though, Klaus hadn't and never would force her to do something she didn't want to do. She was here to help any way she could. And having heard of the Crescent werewolves since being with Klaus, she figured they wouldn't cause any trouble. Even if they did, she knew Klaus would protect her. Besides, Klaus had already gotten Sophie to help create the one thing that would keep them from turning every full moon, as a peace offering.
They entered the werewolf encampment the Crescents lived at, Klaus at her side. He didn't need to threaten any of them, before the first one that noticed him approaching with her, told him, "Your kind ain't welcome here!"
Klaus tossed the blond male wolf a distance away, close to some of the wolves.
"I didn't come here to fight you, but if that's what you want...," he replied.
The more polite wolf stepped in front of his pack, obviously the alpha of it.
"That's not what we want. Obviously. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to offer you a gift. You and your pack can each have one of these."
The hybrid showed him a created moonlight ring.
"Out of the kindness of your vampire heart?" he inquired, knowing with Klaus that there was always something in return.
"Our hearts are more similar than you might realize. You see, long before I evolved, mine beat as a werewolf. I know your power. I know your burden. I'm here to take the latter away," he explained. Then he told him, "I want to give you back the city that was taken from you."
The alpha, Jackson, approached to stand not far from Klaus now, considering it.
"Why would I trust someone like you?"
"For starters, Marcel and his vampires have been destroyed. With them gone, there's room for wolves to live in the Quarter at their leisure without the threat of vampires. You can all have a home, wherever you desire. Just remember. I still rule the Quarter. After Marcel's downfall, I've been reminded what really matters. I love this city, but it's nothing without the strength and unity of family. And right now, that's what this city needs. I know you don't see me as such, but long ago, before I turned, the blood that ran in my veins, it now runs in yours. I won't force you, but I am offering you. This is your chance at not needing to turn anymore. Not unless you want. These moonlight rings can give you that ability." He then added, "So, Jackson, what do you say?"
"So, what, after a thousand years you're finally ready to embrace the other half of your family tree? Maybe the other half doesn't want you," he calmly replied.
"Think about it. No more breaking bones or losing control to the beast within," Klaus tried to once more persuade him. All he needed was Jackson's approval. Then he assumed the rest would eventually fall in line with Jackson. Even if they didn't like Klaus. After all, they had loyalty to each other, just as Klaus had with his vampire family.
Jackson glanced at his pack, thinking about his offer, before looking at Klaus again.
"What do I have to do?"
Klaus gave a smile, before telling him, "These rings are free to you. All I ask is in the future, you'll owe me a favor." He then handed Jackson the already created moonlight ring, in which Jackson put on. He then told him, "The rest of your pack can get the moonlight rings from Sophie Deveraux." He then turned around and walked off, leaving them there, and Caroline walked alongside him, glad that she didn't actually have to intervene.
A few weeks later, Oliver, not liking the alliance with Klaus thatJackson had agreed to, took matters into his own hands. He made his ownalliance with a werewolf by the name of Francesca. She claimed to be human, because she represented the humans, but she secretly was a Guerra wolf. So wereher security detail. Oliver tried and failed to persuade the Crescent wolves toside with him and Francesca. And so, when she tried to take back the city withOliver on her side, she failed. Klaus ripped out her heart and everyone elseslaughtered the rest of her wolves and the wolves that had sided with her thatweren't Crescent wolves. Sadly, Oliver also was one of the wolf tragediesbecause of siding with the enemy. Then, shortly after, Mikael came to one ofthe witches and succeeded in persuading one of them to bring him back to life.
