Supergirl x Avengers Crossover -- {ON HOLD}

The First Mission

Kara lay in her bed at the compound. It was 2:30 in the morning, and she couldn't sleep. Something felt off. Annoyed, Kara brushed her covers off and stood, before making her way out of her room and towards the kitchen. There, she poured herself a cup of water and a loud noise sounded, making her jump.

"What the -"

Due to her super hearing, the noise sounded much louder than it already was. She clapped her hands over her ears as the glass shattered on the floor. Disoriented, she backed into the counter and leaned against it, trying not to freak out.

Before too long, the avengers began emerging into the kitchen, fully dressed in their suits.

Captain America entered first and saw the alien in a corner of the kitchen, eyes wide and hands over her ears.

"Shit..." Cap thought to himself. "The alarm! Super hearing!"

Turing away from Kara, Cap began sprinting towards Tony's office where the off switch was. He burst through the doors and hit the switch, causing the alarm to go silent.

Kara stood in the kitchen, noticing the sound had stopped. She slowly took her hands away from her ears, looking around the kitchen to see all but one of the Avengers looking at her. Embarrassed, she dropped her hands and began awkward rubbing them together.

"Are you okay, Kara?" Tony looked at her with raised eyebrows.

Kara cleared her throat and gave a lopsided smile. "Mhm. The alarm just... caught me by surprise."

Tony nodded. "Very well."

"Was the alarm for any specific reason...?" Kara asked, ears still ringing.

"That would mean that we are needed." Captain America's voice came from the doorway. "The city needs our help."

The Avengers rushed out of the building, Supergirl flying behind them into the darkness. Outside, they could hear and see the chaos; people were screaming, blasts sounded and flashes of light lit up the night sky.

"What is going on?!" Supergirl landed next to Iron Man, using her x-ray vision trying to read his face though the helmet.

"It would appear Buckys' Hydra buds have returned." Iron man said, as Friday filled him in. "They're looking for him."

"Oh shit..." Bucky groaned before looking at all the Avengers. "Sorry guys."

"Hydra?" Kara looked at Bucky. "What's that?"

"Uhh... that would be a story for later."

"Let's just deal with them, shall we?" Thor began to swing the hammer before it launched him forward. Supergirl grinned and took off after him, Iron Man following after them.

"Oh I wish I could fly..." Nat muttered, before she jumped on her bike.

"Me too!" Spider man groaned, before shooting webs out and attaching them to a nearby building.

"I really don't like you sometimes!" Nat yelled after him as he bounced over a building.
