Supergirl x Avengers Crossover -- {ON HOLD}

First Mission Back

Supergirl and Tony landed ahead of the rest as they inspected their surroundings.

"Man, HYDRA just doesn't quit do they?" Supergirl looked around the field they had been summoned to. "At least we're out of the city. Is this all over Bucky?!"

"I'm guessing Natasha too. We've had multiple moles trying to get them. Bucky wasn't there today because he's in the medbay, unconscious."

Supergirl's eyes widened as she took in what Tony had said. "What?! For how long?"

"He's — watch out!" A blast missed them by centimeters. "I'll tell you when we return."

Supergirl nodded and shot forward, punching the shooter and knocking him yards away as Captain America, Natasha, Loki, Thor, and the two archers arrived.

"Did you see that?" Kate pointed at Supergirl with wide eyes. "Did you see how far she punched him? That's badass. You're badass!" She added, yelling over to Supergirl who grinned back before calling back, "Thanks, Hawkette!" and earning a satisfied grin back.

"Where's Bruce?" Supergirl was fighting a HYDRA super soldier and she looked over at Thor.

"In the lab. He's trying to help Buck."

"Oh—" Kara gave one final punch to the soldier and he went flying back. Supergirl sped forward and caught him before placing power dampener cuffs on the semi-conscious man and placing him in the back of the truck Steve had driven over. "So how many of them should we bring back for questioning?"

"Enough to get reliable answers. One or two more I think," Tony responded, shooting a blaster out of his hand, killing one of the men advancing on Kate.

"Copy." Supergirl broke a metal gun in half and threw it off to the side before throwing another HYDRA soldier into the back of the truck.

"Yeah, that should be good. Steve, you're good to start driving back." Iron Man landed next to them and waved Steve away. "Supergirl, stay here and prevent anyone from following him. Thor, you too. Loki, Nat, Clint, and Jr., just kill everybody else I guess.

Supergirl flew behind Steve's truck as they made their way back into the city, the rest of the crew following behind them in black cars.

Supergirl and Steve switched to a private com line and we're happily talking to each other, catching up on what they missed. Steve told her about Wanda, Bucky, and Natasha.

Much to Kara's delight, she learned Nat and Bucky had begun dating. She could sense the tension before.

HYDRA kept attacking them, almost killing Bucky at one point. Bruce had to put him into a coma in order to save him. The news greatly shocked her. But despite it, she could not be happier to be back with the Avengers.

When they arrived back at the compound, Supergirl, Thor, and Iron Man quickly placed the now conscious but disoriented HYRDA men into cells while the others worked on the report. Once everyone was secured, Supergirl sat in her old room, took a shower, and changed, before taking the opportunity to try and talk to Wanda.

On the way down, she decided to stop by Bucky. Taking a deep breath, she opened the med bay door and walked in, smiling at Bruce who pointed her towards Bucky. Kara followed his finger and knocked gently on the wood near the curtain.

"Come in."

Kara pushed aside the curtain and stepped in to find the one-armed super soldier propped up on pillows. Bucky glanced up from his book and grinned when he saw who walked through.
