Supergirl x Avengers Crossover -- {ON HOLD}

America

Supergirl flew though the skies of National City early in the morning before landing on the CatCo deck. Glancing though the glass window, she saw Cat Grant pouring over a file. She knocked on the glass gently and Cat looked up, slight surprise on her face, before she walked over and opened the door. 

"Supergirl? To what do I owe this pleasant surprise?"

"Ms. Grant. I need your advice."

"THE Supergirl is asking me for my advice? Of course."

The two sat on Cats couch as Supergirl fidgeted with her cape.

"A few months ago, I was transported to another universe. There, I met the kindest people ever. They took me in and, well there was one particular person who I—"

"You fell in love?"

Kara took a deep breath as sadness filled her eyes. "I wouldn't use the word, love, but..."

"I understand. Supergirl, I know I can speak for many people, not just in National City, but in this universe, that you are loved. But, the people want you to be happy too."

Supergirl smiled at Cat and leaned over, giving her a slight hug, which she returned.

"Just, tell Kiera that she is needed back." Cats eyes twinkled knowingly as Supergirls eyes widened.

"I... I didn't think about that. How did you know?"

"Oh please. The glasses didn't help at all. In fact, it probably would've helped if you wore those phony glasses with the big nose and mustache."

Supergirl raised her eyebrows as a small smile crept onto her face.

"Look, Kara. You are one of my best employees, but I want you, and Supergirl, to be happy. If you do actually end up leaving, just tell me first. I can't believe I'm loosing both of you."

"Ms. Grant, I don't even know if I can leave. One; I can't travel universes, and two; the DEO won't let me."

"Are you really going to let a Organization that you technically don't work for, tell you what to do? Fight for what you want."

For the next few months, Supergirl moped around the DEO, but no one seemed to pick up in the fact that she was unhappy. They had thrown her right back into work, no one acknowledging that fact that she had been away for a while. The same pains of before we're still present, only now with the added of pain of loosing her second man.

"Supergirl! There is an active Alien Attack down by the warf." J'onn walked up to her as she sat a spinny chair, thinking about Loki. "Supergirl! Did you hear me?!"

Supergirl looked up and glared at him. "Yes, J'onn. I heard you. I just got back from a different problem, and I just need a second. There is only one of me. You know, it would be nice if you helped out a little bit."

"You know I cannot. It would jeopardize my identity."

"I never said transform. Just help a little bit. Instead of just piling everything on me." With one final glare, Supergirl stood and sped off to deal with the rouge Alien.

Supergirl defeated the alien easily and took off for the sky, leaving it unconscious for the DEO to pick up.

As supergirl hovered above the city, she closed her eyes and tried to convince herself she was above New York with Iron Man and Thor as they looked down over the city. She could hear Steve over the coms— calling her name.

"Supergirl?"

It sounded too real. Supergirls heart ached and a tear fell from her eye.

"Supergirl!"

Annoyed, Supergirl opened her eyes as she heared Jonns voice over the coms.

"What, J'onn. What do I need to clean up now?!"

"Supergirl..." Jonns voice was laced with warning and Supergirl rolled her eyes. She'd just about had enough of this.

"Get someone else to do it. I'm busy."

"Someone is here asking for you. So I don't think I can."

Still annoyed, Supergirl began to fly slowly back towards the headquarters. "Who?"

"These two odd looking men and a young girl. Said they're from— New York?"

"New York?!" Supergirls ears pricked up as she started flying faster. "I'm coming!"

Supergirl tried to think about who could possibly be there and how they possibly couldn't gotten there.

A red and blue streak flew into the DEO and landed on the logo. She looked around for a familiar New York face but didn't see one.

"Kara?" Supergirl perked up at the familiar voice and spun around with a huge smile on her face.

"Steve..." Kara breathed out as she took in the strong man wearing a blue uniform. Steve smiled at her and lifted his helmet off as she began to run towards him. J'onn let out a hearty laugh as he watched her throw herself into the man's open arms. He stumbled slightly but kept his footing as he held the kryptonian tightly.

The two held each other for a while, savoring the moments while onlookers clapped slightly, though looking throughly confused. When the two broke apart, Supergirl was looking happier than she had in months. All her anger towards J'onn melted away and curiosity took place.

"Wait, how did you get here? Do you have some weird multiverse travel power I wasn't aware of?"

Steve laughed lightly. "No, but I do know someone who does. Shall we walk and I'll explain?"

Supergirl nodded and sped off, returning a second later in her normal clothes. Steve smiled, thrilled to have her back. It had been almost six months since he last saw her and he had missed her immensely.

"WANDA DID WHAT?!" Kara gaped at Steve as they walked though National city, eating ice cream they had gotten at Kara's favorite place.

"Yeah... Steve grimaced as he filled her in.

"So you're telling me I'm gone for six months and everything goes to shit?" Kara finished her ice cream as she thought about Wanda. While she was gone, Vision had been killed by a HYDRA agent, and in her dispair, she had resorted to dream walking, almost breaking the Multiverse in the process. "But that doesn't explain how you got here."

"Well, I received a message from your cousin about a month ago. According to him, you weren't doing well back here. I guess he's been residing on the Flash's earth right now?"

"Yeah. Even after telling me I needed to be back, he decided to skip town too. Him and Lois moved there because Flash needed help but then they decided to stay."

"Right, well after "Vibe?", got him there, he couldn't take me with him because he was going back to earth 19 and I needed to be here; earth 38. And coincidentally, that was right around the time wanda went rouge and... well, you should probably meet them first."

"Who?" Kara looked at him quizzically as she led her towards a nice looking cafe.

The two entered the cafe  and Kara followed him to a table where a young girl and a man with black and white hair sat.

"Kara, meet Doctor Strange and America Chavez. They helped me find you. America can travel between universes."
