°•°• "𝔜our grace" aemma turned her head to the voice and a bright smile appeared on her face
"jaelys dear!" she beckoned the girl over as jaelys walked to the heavily pregnant woman sitting on the small stool near the woman's feet°•°•

°•°• "how you've grown much taller and beautiful over the years" complimented the woman with a smile , jaelys chuckled "you flatter me your grace" aemma waved her hand with a small scoff°•°•

°•°• "oh stop with the formalities dear , how has matters been at driftmark?" asked the woman as she fanned herself "it's been the usual , preparing myself to take over my father's title has been stressful yet i've managed somehow" told jaelys . the taller girl always found aemma as a second mother to her during her visits to kings landing over the years , and aemma found the girl to be her second daughter°•°•

°•°• the two continued their little conversation about anything as they usually do when the girl visited the red keep , it was how they've gotten closer and developed a mother daughter bond . rhaenys was fond of the queen as they are cousins and when the two were just young princesses —they were close along with daemon and viserys as the four were known to be unseparable°•°•

°•°•and when viserys was crowned king rather than rhaenys who had a much stronger claim due to her being the eldest grandchild from king jaehaerys eldest son ...yet rhaenys was a woman and the lords of the realm refused to see a woman on the throne so they chose viserys , the man felt as if he betrayed his favorite and close cousin as he believed he stole it from her—yet rhaenys assured him that it was alright and he deserved it . the dragon princess husband on the other hand disagreed and always wanted his wife on the throne°•°•

°•°• "your grace , my lady" the two turned to ser harrold as the man bowed before looking to them "apologize for the disturbance but the king has requested the presence of lady jaelys in the council room" aemma nodded with a smile as ser harrold bowed once more leaving the room°•°•

°•°• jaelys stood from her seat "i really despise those meetings" the taller woman mumbled rolling her eyes , the queen laughed lightly tapping her leg with her foot "you are soon to be master of ships endure those distasteful meetings my dear"°•°•

°•°• "and here i thought you'd deny your husband's request" jaelys gasped placing a hand on her chest dramatically causing the queen to laugh more at her antics "off you go now" she ushered the girl with her fan . the taller woman smiled bending down to place a small kiss on her cheek with aemma smiling patting the girls cheek , jaelys than took her leave°•°•
