Training

Mario and Sunni began to follow Peach as they stopped at a huge lake as the waterfalls part. The section of the castle balcony began to move to the center of the lake as Sunni looked up. A giant block begins to emerge from the water and stand in front of the group. Then they began to split into pieces, separating blocks and other objects and all at once, it became a training ground with floating blocks, robot flowers, spikes, bullets and firewalls. Finally, a flagpole with light pink fabric on the top appeared beside them.

"If you can finish this, you're coming with me. Watch and learn."

Peach started to go first as she jumped on the blocks and climbed to each block. Then she managed to dodge the robot flowers and firewalls and she started to run across falling bricks and managed to climb on bullets and get to the flag. As soon as she got to the pole, she began to float down, using her dress like a parachute.

"Wow," Sunni gasped, amazed.

"That was amazing," Mario said in awe. "Wait. How am I supposed to do that?"

"With the power ups. They give us special abilities." She began to knock on a yellow block and a familiar super mushroom had landed on Mario's hand.

Mario groaned in disgust. "Really?"

"Go on. Eat it."

Mario let out a groan of disgust as he looked at the mushroom.

"What's the matter? Sunni asked him.

"You're eat it are you?" Goombella teased, smirking.

Mario let out a groan. "Now this has to be a mushroom cause I just hate mushrooms."

"Come on," Goombella groaned. "It's just a power up. Sunni ate one and it tasted like vegetables."

Finally, Peach seemed to have enough of this. She began to shove the mushroom into Mario's mouth."Down the hatch. Yep, there it is and all gone."

The taste made him gag and groan in disgust since it tasted horrible as he wiped his mouth from his sleeve. "Not cool!" Mario shouted.

Sunni began to wait if the effects might work. Suddenly, Mario's body started to shimmer around until his hand started to grow, followed by the rest of his body. Now it is about the same average size as Sunni. Mario was amazed. "I'm tall."

"And strong," Goombella grinned. Mario began to test out a brick and crumbled into pieces.

"And you can jump," Sunni smiled.

Mario began to grin. "I got this. No problem." He took a running start as he began to jump into the air. But somehow, he began to fall and landed right in the water. Sunni and Goombella looked down.

"Are you dead?"

A pipe suddenly began to spew water out from above their heads and Mario, who is back to his normal size.

"Oh, yeah, when you get hit, you lose the power," said Peach. She knocked another mushroom and Mario catched it.

"Great."

"While you train," Goombella informed her, "me and my friend Sunni will be training separately."

As a few hours had passed, Sunni began to learn how to battle some of the cut out enemies by using her kicks like what Peach did. Goombella started to climb on each block and bash down robot plants with her helmet while Mario struggled to get to the basics and however ate too much of the super mushrooms. He often falls into the water and gets dragged back here.

During breaks, Goombella told them there are different kinds of power ups that would affect Sunni and Mario and it may come in handy when making contact or eating a mushroom.

It had been hours. The moment the girls fell asleep since Mario couldn't manage to get through the training grounds, By dawn, they woke up and saw Mario managing to learn all the basics by avoiding, jumping and getting to the flag. Well... almost.

After a long day, Peach, Sunni, Mario and Goombella sat on a floating block, admiring the sunset.

"Well, we have a long journey ahead of us," said Peach.

"But I didn't make it," Mario replied.

"You almost did," Sunni responded. "No one gets it right away." She held out a bubble shaped flower and tended it. "I never knew that there are so many powers that I have never seen. It looks so special."

"Yeah," Peach nodded. "There are so many power ups that you can obtain and use."

"How many tries did it take you?" Goombella asked Peach.

"So many. I was not good at it. Worse than you."

Sunni stared at Peach and saw the eager smile. "You got it right away, didn't you?"

"I got it right away, but I grew up here."

"I am impressed," Sunni replied.

"We will beat that turtle dragon for good," Goombella squeaked. "I wonder what he was doing right now?"

Far beyond the dark lands, a massive floating platform filled with lava and a massive castle traveled across the kingdom. Inside were hundreds of guards, living mushroom people, living turtles that act like humanoids, those who have wings, giant piranha plants, and violent monsters.

Atop his throne, King Bowser watched as the koopas of the stage played full metal music. He stood up as a spotlight shined on him.

"My army! Koopas, Goombas, whatever those things are." He motioned his head on the red spiked turtles called Spinys. "After years of searching for the super star, it is finally ours! And now, I am now the most powerful turtle in the world!" Everyone cheered. "Soon we will arrive at the Mushroom Kingdom! After years of being sworn enemies, I will ask their princess to marry me in a fairy tale wedding!"

Everyone seemed to have stopped their music and stared at the king. All of them seemed confused. "Yeah."

"Did he say marry their princess?" A koopa asked.

"Doesn't she hate you?"

"Of course, she hates me," Bower replied, frowning before he dreamingly imagined her. "But that makes me love her all the more. Her heart shape bangs, the way she floats in the breeze, her immovable tiara, and when she sees this star, wedding bells."

"What if she says no?" the soldier asked. In response, Bowser set the koopa in flames and became a skeleton.

"Then I will power up with this star and destroy the mushroom kingdom!" he shouted. "Prepare yourselves for the best wedding ever. This is gonna rock!"
