How could he? How could the man I had loved love someone who looked exactly like me? And still say to me he didn't love me? Nothing made sense anymore. I had come back for my one true love, but he had moved on.

I should of guessed he had. It had been 145 years.

Stefan had gone after Elena so I was left in the Salvatore Boarding House's entrance hall. This house had been put in a few years after I had left Mystic Falls. When I was last in Mystic Falls, Stefan and Damon both lived in the Salvatore mansion.

Damon!

He was bound to find me, as soon as he found out from Stefan I was here. Or perhaps I could pretend to be Elena and sneak up on him. Yes. That would be more fun.

I started to straighten my hair. A lot of work was going to be needed to turn my self, the beautiful Katherine Pierce into a average Elena Gilbert.

About an hour later, I thought I had done a pretty good job at looking like Elena. But one thing was missing, and I wouldn't be able to get it. Or put it on.
Elena's vervain necklace.

How was I going to pull that off? I'll just say I lost it I suppose. Or maybe Damon won't notice.

I made my way over to the phone that sat on top a old side table, it may have even been mine! I picked up the phone and dialled Damon's number, which I already new. It started to ring and almost immediately he picked up.

"Hello?" He said through the phone. "Stefan?"

I laughed silently, and replied "No you silly, it's Elena! Stefan's gone out somewhere, he wouldn't tell me where and now I have the whole house to my self!"

I could almost hear him smile through the phone as he asked me, "Would you like some company?" I smirked. He was so easy to trick.

"Of course, but don't tell Stefan, what ever you do. "

"I won't. I'm on my way"

Not even two seconds later I heard a quiet knock at the door. I slowly made my way to the door, at a human pace and opened the door. There on the doorstep was Damon looking more sexy than I ever remembered him. His hair had been cut shorter, and his cheek and jaw bones stood out a lot more than when he was human. I smiled at him, and he made his way inside.

"Elena, why did you want me? I though you said that you didn't want to be near me yesterday?"

I gasped. I hadn't thought of what Elena may have said to anyone before I got here. I quickly shook of the thought.

"Umm err Damon you see..." I began, getting closer to Damon. I placed my hand on his arm and smirked. He smiled back, and took my face in his hands and softly pressed his lips against mine. I played with his hair, until I found ourselves on the couch, Damon on top of me.

I loved this Damon.

I pushed him onto the far wall, and he stared at me with shock. I realised I had used my vampire powers.

"Katherine?"
