"That sweet little girl you knew died a long time ago."
The girl's blood was pumping as she ran through the forest, willing her legs to go faster as she dodged obstacle after obstacle trying to get to him. Rain was pouring down on her as she ran, trying harder and harder to keep going no matter how tired she got. When she got to the high school's parking lot she could hear growling and arrows whizzing by, so she kept running, and when the girl reached the lacrosse field she heard it. Thats when she heard his voice.
"WAIT, WAIT LORI STOP" The boy yelled after her but it was too late. The young blonde was already in the middle of the lacrosse field as Brett followed after getting in front of her as the lights to the lacrosse field turned on and red lasers found themselves pointed directly at his chest.
"Brett. Brett, what's happening?" Lori's voice was shaking.
"Close your eyes." Brett closed his eyes waiting for the arrows to hit him as the red lasers set on him and his sister but the pain never came.
The girl didn't know what came over her but she ran out onto the lacrosse field in front of the siblings getting ready to shield them, and when he opened his eyes he saw Athena standing in front of him, One arrow lodged in her shoulder and the rest of the arrows on the ground as she held a giant orange shield in front of the siblings her eyes burning like embers in the night sky.

"GO." Athena looked back at the two siblings as rain poured down on her, a voice breaking her attention away from them.
"COME ON THIS WAY." The three heard Kira's voice from the window of her car as they all sprinted off to get in.
"GO GO GO" Athena shouted at her as they sped off towards the animal clinic
"Hi, I'm Kira. You must be Athena." The girl spoke looking over at the younger out of breath girl
"We can do introductions another time, just keep driving." Thea stated looking out the window at the dark sky.
