Athena walked around the dark hallways of her school, not really paying attention to her surroundings. The further she walked she saw a dark corner that was calling out to her, drawing her towards the darkness. The mark on her chest burned like a fire that she couldn't escape urging her to go forward. She walked into the dark corner noticing the way her body felt stronger in the darkness. She could see a pair of blank eyes standing in front of her but when she blinked they dissapeared. Athena thought about her surroundings, her mind wandering to the woods and when she opened her eyes again she was standing in a dark portion of the woods.
The girl ran as fast as she could willing her legs to go faster as she tried to get away from the voices she could hear, when she stopped she was stood face to face with a woman who wasn't much taller than her. Athena focused on the woman's face, her dark brown hair and the plain white eyes that stared back at her
"Who are you?" Athena called out but her voice only echoed in the darkness
"My name is Nova." The woman's voice was cold, and it didn't take long for Athena to recognize where she knew it from
"You're my telepath." Athena's voice cracked at her words and the woman in front of her just smirked
"In fact I am." Nova took a step closer to the girl and was surprised when Athena didn't step back
"Why do you keep trying to hurt me?" Athena stepped towards the woman who only chuckled dryly
"I can't hurt you. You're the only way I live." Nova stared the girl down but if you weren't looking directly in her eyes you wouldn't be able to tell
"Then why do you keep making me do bad things." Athena was confused but she couldn't admit it, that would make her weak
"In this life it's either kill or be killed, and I will never be killed." Nova crossed her arms staring back at the girl who didn't understand
"What do you mean?" Athena stepped closer to the woman and could now see the marks and bruises that covered her arms
"These people don't love you, they're scared of you. They're scared of your power. This boy that your wolf has mated itself to is threatened by you, constantly walking on eggshells. I'm trying to protect you but you resist me." Nova reaches a hand out to the younger girl who flinched slightly when the picture changed
