Author's pov

Jimin stopped outside an old, broken park. Its trees were cut down. No greenery could be seen except the few short layers of shrubs, no longer than ten metres, at least. In short, the place looked as if it had gone through a cyclone.

Jimin ran inside, carefully not making any voice that could probably cause danger to Jungkook. He wandered around, examining the park he used to play in. And he missed it, of course.

He then came right outside the daycare where he and Jungkook used to stay while their parents were working. Somehow he knew Jungkook was there.
So he stepped in.

Inside was worse. The upper layer of wood had cracked, giving it an impression that it might fall. As he walked, the floor creaked loudly. The walls had faded drawings of animals and toys laid broken everywhere. It looked like a horror movie set. Papers were thrown out carelessly in each corner.

Jimin stepped on a paper accidentally. And heard a sob.

He turned to that sound and walked towards it. He knew it was Jungkook. So he walked a little faster and reached a locked door. He tried pulling it but it seemed that the building wasn't as weak as it looked. So he knocked, thinking maybe Jungkook had locked it himself.

"Kook?" He called out softly and heard movements inside. "It's me. Jimin. Your buddy. Come on, open it now."

More sobbing continued. But the door opened, revealing a very scared Jungkook.

Jimin scanned Jungkook's body. His hands were scratched. His eyes were bloodshot as if he'd been crying since yesterday. His hair was messy, making them stand up. Most of all, Jungkook was shaking. He almost made Jimin fall when he hugged him.

Jungkook cried his heart out again, feeling someone he could depend on. Jimin rubbed his back, saying nothing because Jungkook needed time. He would just blabber anything in his embrace and eventually sleep.

But the worse was this part when Jimin realized that this time, not Taehyung, that playboy soulmate. His this very best friend had done something very heartbreaking and horrible.

Lisa

Lisa ran up to her parents who were shouting for her. She came down to the living room and saw her parents sitting in an eerie silence.

Lisa asked, "Mom? Dad? What happened? Is something wrong?"

Mrs Manobal looked up. Lisa was even more shocked to see her having tears in those eyes. Her mother didn't say anything but her eyes could tell everything. Something very important was wrong.

Her father, Mr Manobal, gestured for her to sit down. Lisa took a seat, staring at her mother.

First, Mr Manobal sighed. He rested his hands on his knees, looking exhausted. He had lines under his eyes as he'd been staying up all night. Lisa again spoke, "What's wrong?"

"Don't be sad, honey." Mr Manobal said in a cracked voice. He took a sip of water and said, "You can't be engaged now. Someone wrong has occurred."

Lisa blinked, shocked. She stared at her father for more information but he seemed to have said that much only. Now she understood why her mother was crying. But still, she couldn't process what she'd just heard. Her parents, who were the most excited, would never stop the engagement because of a mischievous wretch.

She asked, "But, Dad, who's that person? Why out of sudden? You two were the most excited.. this sudden occurrence is.. a little terrifying."

A silence in which Lisa's parents changed looks. Both have a conversation through their eyes. Lisa waited, until her mother answered, "Lisa, there's a mafia behind this. He.." She scrunched her face in disgust, "is behind Jungkook. He wants him. And he's been at the place for a long time now but Jungkook ran away. Resulting in the mafia's temper to high. It's not safe for you to go there-" She couldn't continue as she burst into tears.
