11. Night

normal - ryonans pov

- Ryonan POV - for now 

I told Tonowari and Ronal that I was staying with the Sully's tonight and they surprisingly said ok, not thinking much of it.

I made my way to the treehouse to see a light illuminating from the window. "Did he clean it up..?" I muttered to myself before going up the ladder. I opened the hatch and the second I laid eyes on the interior I was in shock. 

It was all cleaned up, no books or leaves on the floor. No cobwebs left from the wanders. The hammocks were even cleaned up and fixed so it's sturdy again. There were a few candles here and there to light up the place. I looked to the right to see the table cleaned up with snacks on it and in one of the chairs sat Lo'ak. 

His eyes were closed, i'm assuming he fell asleep waiting for me. "Lo'ak..?" I asked softly, fully getting into the treehouse. He woke up abruptly and started blushing when he saw me, he was embarrassed, "Ah.. sorry! I was kind of worn out from the diving.. uh- Do you like it?" He asked with an awkward smile and a piece of his hair going the other way. 

I giggled, going up to him and putting the piece of hair back, "It's very nice. Thank you for doing this Lo'ak" I smiled sweetly. He blushed harder, "Uh- yeah" He mumbled and quickly looked away. 'What was that reaction? Maybe... does he like me too?' I thought to myself.

"Ah.. I know you didn't eat dinner yet so I brought some food here. Most of it is just some snacks but I hope you'll be satisfied" He smiled, sitting down again. If he did like me back, I wanted to know for sure before making a fool of myself. Since he wanted to spend the night with me.. I'll take advantage of that. 

"Just you being here is enough to satisfy me" I said and sat down on the other chair. He blushed again, "u-uh.. yeah. Um, let's eat?" He stuttered, making me laugh and nod. 

- a little later 

We ate, read a book, played games.. and now we're on the balcony part of the treehouse, stargazing. It was a little chilly, but with Lo'ak sitting so close next to me.. I feel warm already. Our shoulders grazed slightly and we both jerked back instantly. "Those stars.. they form an ikran" He said, pointing to where he sees it. 

I looked and saw the ikran, making me laugh softly, "It looks like Bob, your dad's ikran" I said honestly. He laughed too, "yeah.." We both put our hands down next to each other, and slowly.. I could feel him wanting to hold it. 

I slowly creeped my hand closer to his, and he held it. I smiled, looking at him. He was blushing, hard. And he was so tense, "Lo'ak.. calm down" I whispered, tightening my grip a little. He relaxed and looked at me. We stared into each other's eyes. 

She's so pretty.. her eyes are like the forest. I could get lost in it.. but I wouldn't be mad about it 

We're so close.. does he like me back..? I like him so much.. his skin is so smooth. His hand is so warm.. 

"Ryonan.. I like you" He whispered

"I like you.." I whispered. Wait.. why did I say that? Shit- what if she doesn't like me back..? 

I felt the smile on my face slowly form. I saw panic in his eyes and I couldn't help but laugh, "I like you too" I said back 

Wait.. she likes me back? ACTUALLY?! 

I felt his hands start to sweat, "I like you, a lot" I simply smiled back 

"you.. you like me a lot..?" I asked and she nodded, "So much that I don't know what to do anymore.." 

"Why don't you... kiss me?" I heard him whisper. I glanced down at his lips, then back to his eyes. I saw him slowly leaning closer to my face. Something just.. pulled me closer to him. 

Our lips almost met, but I put my hand between it before they touched. I saw his eyes closed and he opened them, looking at me confused. I smiled, "You liking me back is already enough excitement for me, but kissing? You really might just make me fall in love, Lo'ak" I teased and he blushed, backing away. 

We talked it out for a few more minutes before going back into the treehouse and slipping into the hammocks. I laid in the middle one, him on the bottom. "goodnight" I said and he whispered it back. I slowly fell asleep, thinking about how amazing today was   

I couldn't sleep.. after what just happened do you actually expect me to?!?! I sighed quietly, but I was still so happy. My heart felt.. warm. I winced slightly, thinking about how I asked her to kiss me. obviously that was too fast.. but the moment felt so right. I heard something move from above me so I looked, seeing that her hand slipped out and it was now just in front of me. I slowly raised my hand, and held hers. I smiled.. she likes me. My Ryonan... and I slowly fell into the comfort of sleep.
