Chapter 14
Samantha hung limp from the walls. Morgan had left to sharpen the now dull blade to cut off Samantha's other wing. She was forced to stare downwards at her beautiful wing while the other one hung uselessly from her back, already half severed. Samantha was chained with her back facing Peter, forcing him to witness every agonizing slash and show him past scars. Peter panicked at Samantha's stillness, thinking it meant death.
"Wing girl?" he tried to choke out but ending with a coughing fit of blood. There was no response from Samantha. "Sammy please talk to me," he whispered, tears falling from his face. Samantha couldn't. She knew if she did she would start crying. She'd start crying so hard that she wouldn't be able to stop. She hadn't cried yet, despite the torture and she wasn't planning on it either. Peter hung his head and closed his eyes. "I love you Samantha. Please just say something. Anything. Samantha please." All he wanted to hear was her voice.
"I love you too Peter," Samantha said quietly. He looked up at her, tears falling down his cheeks. Then Morgan walked it.
"Blah, blah, blah. That's so sweet that I want to throw up," she said. Morgan walked up to Samantha. "Let's continue this shall we?"
"Morgan, you can stop this. We can help you. We can be a family again, please," the crippled Nephilim said.
"Oh I don't think that's an option anymore," she said and her eyes turned pitch black. Samantha gasped and narrowed her eyes. She understood now. Morgan wasn't just Nephilim, she was also a demon. That was how she was so powerful.
"Morgan, yes it is please ju-" she ended with a scream. With one swing, Morgan had severed the other wing, leaving to stumps in Samantha's back.
"Wing girl!" Peter screamed. Morgan smiled and turned her hand, making Samantha turn to face her. She smiled and turned to face Peter, holding the knife tightly. He cowered against the wall.
"No! You promised you'd let him go!" Samantha screamed. "Don't hurt him! He has nothing to do with this!" Morgan simply laughed.
"Oh dear naïve sister, you see, I lied. And he has everything to do with this. He is your weakness." She brought her knife up and went to stab Peter.
"NO!" Samantha screamed and started to glow blue. She broke through the chains and tackled Morgan. Morgan smirked and rolled on top of her. Peter shook in horror as Morgan plunged the knife in Samantha's chest. Morgan looked into Samantha's eyes and laughed as she pulled out the blade, blood already flooding her sisters chest.
"Missed your heart on purpose dear sister. Now you will bleed until you suffocate on your own blood. Not the most painless death." Samantha coughed up blood. The room started to glow white. Morgan turned to see that two more people have made their entrance. "Mom, dad, so glad you could show up." Dean looked at Samantha and tightened his grip on his knife. Morgan frowned. "Oh of course, always worried about dear Sammy."
Dean looked to Shek who had a surprising calm face. She lifted her hand and pinned Morgan to the wall. "Dean hurry! I can't hold her forever."
Dean first ran to Peter and undid his shackles. Peter fell to all fours. "Can you walk?" Peter nodded slowly.
"I-I think so," he managed.
"Good. There's a jet outside. I need you to carry Samantha there alright?" Dean asked. Peter nodded and got up with shaking legs. Every inch of him hurt, but he knew it meant life of death for Samantha. Dean and Peter knelt on each side of the dying girl. "Hey sweetheart," Dean whispered, stroking her hair.
"Daddy," she rasped, blood running from the corner of her mouth. "D-don't hurt her. C-Crowley turned her into a-a demon. N-not her fault-" she ended up coughing up more blood. Dean smiled softly.
"Alright sweetie. Just hold in there Sammy, alright?" Samantha answered with a nod and then Dean helped get her into Peter's arms. He ran outside without another word. The sunlight blinded him and he held Samantha even closer.
"Hey Wing Girl, we're almost there. How you hanging in there?" he asked quietly, running with all his might to the jet.
"I-I love you Peter," she whispered.
"I love you too Kansas. Come on we're close." They were almost there.
"I wanted to spend my life with you..." Her blood mixed with his bloodstained chest. He shook his head, tears streaming down his face.
"You will. I'll be there every day baby." He ran onto the jet. Samantha started to choke and coughed violently. Peter handed her over to the doctors who rushed her to the hospital wing on the small jet to keep her alive until they got to the hellicarrier. Once Peter saw her there, all adrenaline left him and he collapsed onto the floor.
