Chapter Sixteen

Samantha whimpered when she heard someone enter the room. "P-Pete?" she asked weakly as her eyes just wouldn't open.

"Hey Wing Girl," Peter said gently and kissed her hand. "It's me, and you're dad's coming right now." She bit her lip and finally forced her eyes to flicker open.

"B-bug boy, are you alright?" she asked him worriedly. Her body was shaking in pain, but all she cared about now was the boy standing next to her. His fingers gently combed some tangles through her hair.

"I'm fine, but you shouldn't be worried about me. You should be worrying about getting yourself better." She looked down feeling a emptiness of her back. She whimpered as she remembered what happened. Her wings... They were gone. Samantha tried to struggle to sit up, but Peter kept her down. "You're still hurt love. Stay down please."

"A-alright," she whispered quietly and kissed his cheek. Both teenagers head snapped to the doorway when they heard footsteps enter the room. There stood Dean, a mask of worry and sadness covering his face. "Daddy?" she asked quietly.

He smiled softly and went up to her, hugging his daughter gently. Samantha then remembered something.

"Where's Morgan?" she asked, looking up to her father with her big gold eyes.

"She's detained, where she can't hurt anyone," he said quietly. "She's fine though. I think your mom and I have found a cure."

Samantha smiled softly. "Really?" Soon she would get a sister, if this would work, and both men in the room could see the excitement in her eyes. "Why haven't you done it yet?"

"Because, we need you're blood," Dean explained. "And we want to wait until you've recovered to do this." Samantha again nodded at this. She sighed and looked up at him again.

"I want to cure her," she said her voice filled with conviction.

"What?" Dean asked, taken aback at the request.

"I want to be the one to cure her," the girl repeated herself. Dean looked at his daughter his eyes filled with surprise.

"Okay, but you need to get better first. I need you to rest up." Samantha nodded and started to lay down. By the time her head hit the pillow, she had fallen fast asleep.

"You're really going to let her do that?" he asked.

Dean nodded. "I think she's the only one who will be able to," he whispered.
